Chemistry vs health, good point. I looked at it as, our offense and defense will never be as healthy as week 1, so id like to play the pats at full strength; however, to your point, the D and O wont be clicking in Gaily and Bowles systems at 100% at that time for sure.

Interesting variable to consider also, Turbo.

and it won't be the pats. they are the defending SB champs who open on thursday night. while the jets are an improved team, and there is the revis storyline, it's not a matchup i see nbc going with for their kickoff game. more likely the pats vs another afc division winner (denver or indy) or aganst dallas or phily

Pats likely open vs. Indy.

I want the Bills, and I want it to be at home. This is because I want to put the whole circus of "Rex coming back for the first time" to bed early. Bowles appears to be all business, and I want those stupid distractions out of the way early.

Bills most definitely, I want them crushed and Rex to look STUPID AS SH&T week one! The Pats time is coming but let the Jets deal with sexy rexy and the Bills week one. Besides, as long as the Pats have Belichick coaching and Brady at QB the Jets will always have a very good chance of losing to them.

To me, the 2015 Pats are just another division opponent, a team standing in the way of the Jets' ultimate goals. They're nothing different, nothing special, just an opponent.

I voted "other," but all I really want is anybody other than the Pats. I will be tied up on the Thursday night of the Pats' opener, so I would wind up missing the game. Argh! Please let the Jets open in Sunday!

I said other

This is almost a totally new team, with a new O and D. It is going to take a few weeks for them to get their crap together. Would rather have non-division rivals first few weeks.

Won't happen that way, and we'll probably get the pats week one, but that's how I prefer it

I'd be careful with that bondage stuff if I was you.

What is going on here today? In another thread, I have to read about BPA(AAPORN), which sounds like pics from some minor league team's prospects - pics I very much do not wish to see. Now I'm reading about being tied up and 50 Shades of Green?

Hey, wait a second. 50 Shades of Green? What about THAT as the new name for our site?

The Jets have opened at home the past two seasons. Hasn't this been the same length MetLife has been open?
Anyway, I fully expect the Giants to get the home opener as 3 consecutive years wouldn't be fair at all. The Jets will open on the road...maybe against the Giants? Our schedule shows that game as a road game.

Good point. I love that the Jets are the road team against the Giants this year. It makes for 9 games in your own stadium.

I agree. Their oline, DBs, run game, and WRs wont scare me at all going into the season. Their front 7, Gronk, and Brady will be formidable. They will be favored, and should be, but no one knows how Bowles will game plan and what his in-game adjustments capabilities. Jets will have a secondary and amazing front 7 to give brady and gronk and edelman fits and at least slow them down...lets see how Gaily attacks them with ivory, marshall, Decker, and Amaro...other than McCourty, and all the B to A+ Cbs off the market...how the pats match up with our offense. Butler was punished all game till that final INT...and that guy who hadnt made a catch all year is no Brandon marshall. Are they going to make Butler a #1 CB and match him up with marshall? If so, McCourty will have to help that side, right? Who covers Decker and now McCourty isnt on Amaro...

No, SE is right, just another team in the division.
