like I keep saying it is primary rebuild through the draft
until the team shows it is a winnable organization could they attract free agents but connections that JD and this coaching staff might be able to get a couple here and there that will help the growth of this team...

talk about bitchin after the fact
this team clearly was rebuilding from the ground up
they knew it would be a struggle
they understand there is a lot of holes to plug but in an evaluation year this is what you get as a result
so calm down there is no reason to be disgusted with THIS team, with the organization that is a different story shame it took this long to attempt to get it right

In the current draft order, the next picks are Carolina at 7, Giants 8, Wash 9 Atlanta 10 and Denver 11. Might someone like Washington, Atlanta or Denver have a QB in mind and want to jump ahead of those others? Move down a few spots and add - say - a second round pick?

All we have ever seen is quick fixes with mixed results.......and people seem to want more of it rather than absorb the pain of losing double digit games this year. Next year has no promise of postseason - just to get better with certain expectations on 2023 to be postseason bound.

I am encouraged with JD’s approach to building the roster . In his 1st 2 drafts orchestrating for 2different HC’s he’s managed to add players that has improved the OL, (Becton, AVT and McGovern) WR core, (Moore and Davis) RB room with Carter and practically rebuilt the defensive backfield with ( Ayston Davis, Pinnock, Bryce Hall, Echols and Carter 2nd)
He’s still has to find us an edge rusher whom he thought he did with Lawson, rebuild the linebacking core which he started on last year, reshape the TE position and finish the OL . All in all I would say he’s done a solid job and all that left is for the kids to grow together and gain the required experience.

FA will be fascinating and have a huge impact on the QBs drafted. Denver is the wildcard for Russell Wilson IMO - I don't see him wanting to go to NYG-they are not just a QB away and Russell can't wait on them at his age. Denver appears closer with the defense and they have no plan at QB right now. I really doubt Rodgers escapes GB.

The Steelers are going to be looking for a QB and so will the Saints, Panthers, Washington, Falcons and a few others . Teams will want edge rushers and OTs also . We will have opportunities but will we want to move is the question ?

i'd say you're pretty informed!

Mc is a good stop-gap Center who has played really well since AVT got accustomed to the NFL and the Doctor flanked him on the right side.
many of us, me included, blamed a lot on him, but in retrospect, he was getting crushed by really bad play at both guards positions.

He’s been the Lone Ranger along the offensive line the whole season . Everything around him keep changing but he at least keeps the running game moving forward. Kid is worth keeping around while we draft a Center who can develop until McGovern’s contract runs out.

Jameis Winston reminds me of Vinny, not so much in style of play, but the ability to make all throws. I felt really bad for him this year; i think he was going to be special under Payton.

he's going to get into the right situation and be a baller...he might take a while like Vinny too to cut down on the turnovers, but he can play.

I will agree he is fine for now but not the ultimate answer - he struggles picking up the blitz/stunts still and that won't go away so my hope is an upgrade at some point. Basically, the line has a ceiling that is not great or very good....but a cuppa additions can upgrade it.
