Head coach and coaching staff may be correct...

But RB they now have the NFLs 3rd leading rusher from last year...that's far superior to ivory of all people, plus McCoy can catch. No one has had more rushing yards in the NFL than McCoy since he was drafted. RB was a bad pick, especially with Fred Jackson behind McCoy (we have...Bilal Powell, again, huge advantage Bills).

DL...Hughes and Williams get 25 sacks per season and and their tackles are Dareus and Williams, advantage Bills by far. Our dline and linebackers combined have a hard time getting 25 sacks, they have 2 players on their dline that get that.

QB? That was a silly response. "If the Jets get Aaron Rodgers, advantage Jets." Seriously? We have Geno and they have Manuel...no advantage for either team.

Bowles over Ryan, but Ryan is coaching far more talent than Bowles. CB, RB, WR, OL, DL, CB, and S advantage Bills. Jets may have better tight ends...

Come on man! This is just silly. Bills are really really talented in almost every position you named. Coaching staff is a wash Bc we do what Bowles will bring to the table. QB we have to wait and see. Look past your Rex hate for a bit and you will see they are trouble and are on the up.

There is no denying when Rex has a good team, he can coach.

Agreed on Rex but the Bills defense was bad ass last year without Alonso, he missed the whole year due to an ACL injury. In my opinion he was expendable, especially for a weapon as good as McCoy. People will point to his declining numbers but that was because Sproles came into the picture. Sproles might be the only other back in the NFL that is as nifty as Shady McCoy

Rex doesnt value speed in his defense - that is why we have consistently gotten destroyed by tight ends and quick passing offenses during his entire time here.

Look at our defense - harris is a very, very slow MLB. We have a 290lb OLB in Coples, who should be playing DT. We didnt address the safety position for 4 years (after leonhard left) until pryor, who is not particularly fast or good in coverage. Our other OLB is calvin pace, who aside from setting the edge in the running game, is a plodding LB who cant cover anyone.

Rex is playing defense in 1985, just like his dad taught him. I Hope to god, he takes Harris to fill Alonso's spot and it allows us to go after jerry hughes, a player who is actually valuable in todays nfl and could really help our front 7.

McCoy is a good player, but also not exactly a team first guy - it will be very interesting to see how happy he is playing in a power scheme (thats what Roman runs and that what the bills have as lineman) with EJ Manuel and Rex in charge of the team.

Shady McCoy traded to Buffalo

Just heard on NFL Network that the Eagles will be going after McCourtey, Revis and Maxwell ... All three of them ... Do they have kind of cap space ??? Of course the source was Baldinger .... So there's that.

Reports are he plans to hold out for a new contract:

McCoy reportedly isn’t happy about being traded to Buffalo

In our first of umpteen-and-counting items about the Shady-for-Kiko trade, it was noted that it’s unclear whether running back LeSean McCoy will welcome a trade from Philadelphia to Buffalo.

He possibly won’t.

Josina Anderson of ESPN, citing an unnamed source close to LeSean McCoy, reports that McCoy is “frustrated” by the news that he’ll be sent to the Bills.

“He’s a Pennsylvania kid,” the source told Anderson. “He’s never played football outside of Pennsylvania — high school, college, pro. So of course he’s not happy. Sounds like it’s pretty final to me unless LeSean is refusing to go to Buffalo.”

Of course, refusing to go to Buffalo would mean not earning $10.25 million in 2015, ultimately being cut by the Eagles, and then being forced to find $10.25 million on the open market.

“It’ll be interesting to see how this process plays itself out because he’s an interesting individual,” the source said. “In your mind, when you think of Buffalo you think of cold and losing games. It’s not like it’s the Philadelphia market where you’re always on [TV] and you’re playing for like the division title or that type of thing.”

Bills coach Rex Ryan likely believes that he’ll be able to persuade McCoy to give it a try, and Rex definitely has the ability to do that. But McCoy may still balk, which means that the Bills then will have to decide whether to go through with the deal.

The deal can’t be finalized until 4:00 p.m. ET on March 10. Before then, either side can decline to proceed. And if McCoy makes it clear that he has no desire to play in Buffalo, that could be enough for the Bills to walk away, minimizing any style points they’d lose by reneging on the tentative swap.

There's no way unless they plan on making more trades. At least not all 3. Maybe 1. Maxwell and Revis alone are going to require some big money. Doesn't make sense for them to do that in my opinion.

Just heard they have 40 million in cap space ... That's a lot.

Your right I just looked it up and apparently they are shooting for all 3. I just don't see it happening. They'll most likely snag at least one, maybe 2. I cant see them signing Revis and Maxwell both with the kind of bidding wars that will erupt over those players.

Well, and there will be separate bidding wars, right? maxwell will likely come down to Eagles, Saints, and Atl, Revis between Pats, Jets, Bills, and Phins, McCourty between likely Pats, Jets, Atl, Eagles, and others....

...plus they reportedly want in on Spiller who a lot of teams are coming out of the woodwork for including us, Seattle, Phins, and Eagles...can they keep up with all the bids for all the players they want, because all 4 guys are likely signed in the first 2 days...

I realize there's no tangible correlation, but this feels like a few years ago when Miami went "all in" and signed everyone they could get their hands on.

It raised them to mediocrity, but not much further. I'll assume the same for Buffalo until proven otherwise . . .

....raise them to mediocrity?

The Bills were 9-7 last year and just added one of the top 3 RBs in all of football...

Orton, Marrone, Schwartz and some other good coaches got them to 9 wins.

Now they've downgraded QB and seriously downgraded coaching with Rex and his seven little dwarfs taking over

they also had a decent QB

They did? News to me. Orton was rated 19th in the league, behind guys like Mark Sanchez and Jay Cutler last year (yes, with as bad as Jay was, he was better than Orton); as in, if they sign Sanchez, it will be an upgrade to Orton.

Not sure it is a blind leap to say that they may have a better QB situation in 2015 and McCoy...

This move doesn't scare me at all, simply because Rex is the HC and he is a moron. Rex will coach himself out of Buffalo just as he did with us. Rex believes he can win without a solid QB at least and that is just not possible in todays NFL. He is still on this great defense and power run game does the trick. Plus he cares nothing about the offense or QB play. It's bogus, you have to have balance to be a winner in todays game. Not necessarily a A. Rodgers or Brady but a very good QB at the least and Rex still doesn't get it. So as long as he still thinks this way and plays these garbage QBs he is no threat to me at all. Now if he gets a half way decent QB, then we MAY have a issue. I don't believe McCoy even fits his scheme. Rex wants the power running kind of RB which McCoy isn't. Using McCoy and their back-up beast RB Jackson who never seem to age at equal time will help their offense a lot a McCoy. But going with McCoy 60% or more will only wear him out and probably get him hurt. Plus McCoy doesn't even want to go to Buffalo so you know that means trouble. Have at it Rex!

Total cap space for 2015 offseason spending: $46.01 million

Of that $46.01 million, roughly $5 million will have to be set aside for their 2015 NFL Draft class.

Gentlemen we are not the only ones with money to spend in FA there is about 12 teams with$30 million at their disposal.

You're right, last year we were the only team with money to spend and...we crapped the bed (one of the only teams with $55 mill to spend anyway).

Hopefully this regime facing everyone with cap room fairs better.
