Sheldon Richardson returns ...... who get cut?

Different animal altogether. Davis is a glorified OL, while Saxton is a bigger better pass receiving option than Enunwa and not as good a blocker. I really this kid's potential and hope he makes it back on roster at some point. To me the guy who is useless is Cumberland, poor blocker and hasn't distinguished himself in the passing game.

Seems like Gailey has just written the TE position out of his game plan. If their going to do that, why not save a roster spot and put Qvale out there.

Watch now with that said the TE's will get 10 targets against the Skins

Clearly seems to be the case, with the slight caveat that the H-back position is somewhat involved. The die has been cast with an Enunwa-type hybrid player in Gailey's system. If he develops as an underneath weapon, it could be a nightmarish situation for DCs. Think about the 4 WR sets that the Jets could employ with Enunwa (hybrid) and Marshall underneath, Decker and Marshall mid-range and Smith/Owusu over the top. Very difficult to stop, particularly if you add Ivory to the mix. There will be no stacking the box with 8-9 defenders as we have seen in previous years.

That of course is what they are trying to force. So far Enuwa hasn't held his end of the deal up.

Love Ivory as a RB, but he is one of the most uncomfortable looking receivers I have seen. Powell is a much better receiver.

cy, are you looking out for Cumberland because you played TE in college or do you actually think he has something left in the tank?

Great question, and to be honest I do love the TE position. Cumberland is the hardest player for me to read on the Jets ? Remember back when we drafted him out of Illinois, no one except Mel Kiper knew who he was, just that @ 6'4"/260 he was running consistent 4.4 and a couple 4.3. Guy's to be as big as he is with that speed, there was a reason he was not ever put on the practice squad. Jets coaches & Tannenbaum said that he had such God given talent from basketball, that one day he'd be a stud TE in the NFL.

With that said, he's liable to break out, or in Gailey's scheme, fade away !? NFL show last weekend were saying the TE is the QB's best friend, I don't think Gailey is using his TE's properly ? Kellen Davis 6'7"/265 is only an extra OL, swing him out for a pass. And Wes Saxton 6'4"/235 if beefed up a little reminded me of Justin Keller. Use the TE more Gailey.

Everything you have said is correct, and I remember thinking he was going to be a steal once he got it together.

This is the 6th year now, Sanchez tried to force feed him the ball. Still, he has never had a 30 catch season.

He was one of the players I was hoping for a break out season from.

Gailey clearly doesn't think much of him. Have a feeling the break out season isn't coming

He is a mystery. I thought that once he was resigned that there was a plan for him and we would see some consistent production. Unless I'm confused didn't MM give him an extension? If so, you would have thought that the coaching staff had a plan for him or based upon his body of work for the Jets there was still potential. We've seen nothing from him this year, which to me is a continuation if not a regression from prior years.
