Not with Richardson's baggage. He's one stupid mistake away from a lengthy suspension.
I think the Cowboys have learned their lesson about gambling on players with character concerns. They'd be stupid to give up a 1st for SR.
They have a need, plus in a year they will have both players and could trade one or play both. With them drafting late in the round and not too many stud d linemen in fa, they might take the chance. They ate a win now team, they can't let their pass rush disappear.

Not a chance Richardson fetches the Jets a 1st round pick. He is an asshole with baggage. And he doesn't deserve to go to a winner. He deserves to be on the Jets or Browns.

Dallas can't fit him under their cap. They already have to restructure Romo, which almost seems impossible, then trade him before they can do anything.
How about we sign ik, and trade him to whoever signs geno?

At least their arrow is pointing up. Jets are old, no QB. no OL and have a lame duck HC.
Jets are right around the league average in age at 26.2... that was 2016... Once we make the following cuts
Revis
Fitz
Harris
Mangold
Marshall
Henderson
Clady
all of whom are 30 or older, you can bet we will be one of the youngest teams in the NFL next year....
talent is on this team, hopefully the new guys coming in will add to that.... We need a CS that can develop the talent... It's not just about a good coach, it's about a good coach that has good chemistry with his players... Case in point Pepper Johnson... Many ppl will and have said he's a great coach... Well he got very little out of the DL this year.... the chemistry all around needs to be fixed on this team. More so with players but certainly with coaches as well

It not a talent-less team
It might not even be a team with bad coaching
BUt it clearly is a team that is devoid of any chemistry.... And 2015 and 2016 goes a long way to show you what a QB that plays well can do for overall team chemistry.
AS far as OL goes We just need a LT
Winter and Carpenter are very good G's
Shell, Qvale and IJalana all played well at RT ( Ijalana is an awful LT)
Johnson is young and graded out better than Mangold at C this year and he is developing nicely..
LT - Well you know what they say about a chain only being as strong as it's weakest link... Unfortunately we were missing a link a LT this year so the chain was awful.... Fix that link and this OL is very good.

The coaching staff was forced to mix guys around the line almost every week,there was zero continuity, but by the end of the year I felt the line held their own. Winters was a joke, but seems to have found his way recently.
I think we get one fa and draft o line high.
The mentality with mawae was to draft his replacement when he was available. We had a high pick when Mangold was available and jumped. I think Mangold at a pay cut can be serviceable another year until we find that anchor again.

Winters had a very good year.... and Johnson played better than Mangold... We were spoiled to go from a perennial pro-bowler and now HOF candidate Mawae to the same in Mangold... I don't expect that from Johnson but he played very well..... Well other than snapping the ball early once and almost getting Petty killed LOL.. We need a LT and a little more depth
