Should the Jets bid for Sorsby?

Some are of the opinion that he would have been the second QB taken in the 2026 draft, and it might be an alternative to looking to the 2027 draft and finding out that we win enough games to run ourselves out of contention for the 'Messiah' that some believe will be available. On the other hand, apart from the character issues he needs development, which doesn't fit the narrative of a third 'veteran' QB who can step in front of Klubnik if Geno goes down early.

Obviously we don't want to give up a first, but would you give up a third?

Maybe a 3rd. We don't need our own Pete Rose when he gets to the NFL.

I think they should bid a third round pick. We need a future QB. Let him and Klubnick battle for the back up position. If neither proves themselves, take a QB round 1. We know Cook isn't even a viable 3rd qb and Zappe is not the future. Worst case scenario is one of Sorsby or Klubnik becomes next year's practice squad QB or released.

At this time I would not.
Franchise is in Flux
Imo bringing this Kid in would be an SOJ move.
Let's see what We have now on the Roster and look to the 27 draft if things don't work out.
That's the smart play imo.

Well the league will not hold a supplemental draft this year. Sorsby would not have been eligible to enter due to having had his eligibility for next season restored.
Now that he withdrew his lawsuit, he likely sits next season.
