This is a tough one. There are no guarantees in this years draft as well as some QB's won't even be there when we pick. We all know drafting a QB is a crap shoot. I can make an argument for and against any of the top QB's available this year. So in the end we could have a foundation guy or another Mark Sanchez and the later causes you to waste 3-5 years.
With regards to Cousins he is certainly better than any three of the QB's that are going to the conference championship game this weekend. However, has never really been in the spotlight and in three years as a starter has a .500 record. So at least up to this point he has not shown that he can lift his team beyond their talent level.
With that said he does have skills and I think if his price comes down to the 20M range you have to consider it. As crazy as it sounds for a 5-11 team the Jets were not that far off this year. A good draft and some key free agents acquisitions and they can be this years Minnesota Vikings. Tough one to figure out.
