Pittsburgh has a need, could they be interested?

Wow. I could not imagine a team wanting him, but with their injury situation, perhaps they would.

Tough to acquire a QB mid-season, though. Far more of a learning curve into a new system.

Clearly a win/win for us, but why would you trade for the worst statistical QB in the league? Having said that, I'm sure Todd Haley would find a way to get decent mileage out of Fitz.

if not trade simple release cut bait to avoid any locker room explosions from players like Brandon Marshall and injured reserve Eric Decker who are both on record as pro Ryan Fitzpatrick if he is no longer on the roster they have nothing to gripe about which could fracture this locker room that is already on thin ice...

wonder how Matt Forte is feeling because he stated he joined us to play with Ryan Fitzpatrick...

again if not trade for peanuts then release to keep the locker room intact because with this move he is no longer needed with both Petty & Hackenberg as depth...

I'm not worried about Marshall and Decker. Marshall was Geno's best buddy when he first joined the team, and then had a great season last year with Fitz. Saw Marshall giving Geno pep talk before he came on the field Monday night, so Marshall will support whoever is QB. Decker won't see the field this year or next, so who cares what he thinks or says. Never been in an NFL locker room, but from what I hear guys who aren't on the field practicing and playing hold very little sway.
My thought was that Fitz would be back next year, but as a backup. I think that management and coaching staff are going to give Petty and Hack every opportunity to start next year with Geno being cut. That leaves Fitz as the mentor for these two young guys.

Marshall is a suck up to the potential starting quarterback as he was in Miami, Chicago and Denver...

But when Fitz became the starter there is a whole need of admiration and loyalty grow over last year this off season into this year and Marshall is known for his out bursts... Eric Decker is likely done this off season probably going to get an injury settlement to remove him from the roster...

For me they need to move Fitz to avoid fracturing the locker room anymore than it currently is right now with Geno being named starter virtually ending Fitz time here with gang green...

7th rounder and I am in.........

yep anything to get rid of him... his prolonged stance and arrogance has come back to bite him in the ass and I say good . I wanted him back at a reasonable price but he got greedy and thought he was better then he is..... Memo to Fitzs your a hasbeen and will be lucky to be a backup next year.
