Guard John Simpson has gone to Baltimore. Let's hope the plan isn't just to plug in AVT at left guard for as long as he is uninjured.

Good riddance...............we can likely replace him with an upgrade from the undrafted free agency group. The only good quality he had was his availability. He didn't miss games but he gave up 5 sacks, 5 QB hits, 29 QB pressures and committed 10 costly penalties. I am pretty certain the Jets didn't want to resign him. I'm afraid that AVT is on the bubble too. He is really good, when he's on the field. Unfortunately that hasn't been very much. The saving grace for him is that it hasn't been a repetitious injury. It has been a different injury each time. I think the Jets will likely take that into consideration.

I wouldn't be surprised if they add a mid tier FA and take a guard round 2.

Thing is though, if this guy is such a dud why is he getting a gig at the Ravens, who are a better franchise than us? What can't speak can't lie.
