theJetsblog -- Buster Skrine will likely start training camp as the No. 2 cornerback opposite Darrelle Revis, head coach Todd Bowles said at the AFC coaches breakfast on Tuesday.
The Jets signed Skrine, 26, to a four-year contract last offseason, and he recorded one interception and 56 combined tackles in 16 games.
New York had released Antonio Cromartie last month and had been in the market for another cornerback over the past few weeks. They had showed interest in Adam Jones, who re-signed with the Cincinnati Bengals, and Antonio Allen, who signed with the Houston Texans.
Revis, meanwhile, is expected to be ready for training camp after he underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist.
