how thin is the line between unfortunate & poor team strength & conditioning coaching??Unfortunate injury, but he did pull the hammy running routes to keep ready to play when his suspension ended. Just didn't warm up enough on a cold day...
About a mile wide.how thin is the line between unfortunate & poor team strength & conditioning coaching??
at least there's that..About a mile wide.
Suspended players may not have any contact with the team and are not allowed in the facility. This has nothing to do with the strength and conditioning coaches or training staff.
i wasn't trying to cast aspersions at herndon conditioning.. i was just commenting on the setup between team & player during a suspension..He was working out the whole time. The day of the injury happened to be extremely cold, he didn't warm up enough and pulled a hamstring.
Now we're going to bitch about a guy trying to keep in shape so he's ready to play when he returns?
There's more than enough legitimate crap to complain about.
Personally I more pissed with the DUI he got to cause the suspension

My thoughts exactlyMy bad, I apologize. It read that way to me, the 20 min portion.i wasn't trying to cast aspersions at herndon conditioning.. i was just commenting on the setup between team & player during a suspension..
Excellent!I have wondered many times how much of this is related to proper conditioning and training. Again, I hark back repeatedly about Parcells short stay with the Jets. If you recall his 97', turnaround team. He weeded out the slackers, brought in hard-working no-name grunts and turned them into a 4 quarter team that handed out physical punishment. He demanded players come to camp in shape. Do you remember he called Mo Lewis, who he turned into one of our greatest LBs, he called him "220 lbs of Lovin" He lit a fire under Mo's ass and Mo became one of the best linebackers in Jets history. I do not see this same passion and fire with Gase, his coaches, and his product.
