So now we have a pissed off Dolphins team to contend with

This is a transitional year (we have had so many) so I don't expect much from the Jets---we still have the QB problem---the current guy is merely a caretaker. Dolphins are better on paper so it might be another long day.

The Dolphins are better on paper? could not disagree more with that statement.

The Dolphins are better at QB and TE, and without Colon probably O-line (with him id say jets are slightly better or a push). The Jets are better at every other position.

I'm not gonna get all long-winded about this, by now we all know the drill, Miami is 1-2 and they are viewing this as a must win game, so expect to get their best effort next week.

You think I'm overstating it?

Mike Pouncey in his own words: "We gotta win next week. Next week is a MUST WIN. If we don't win that game there's gonna be a lot of pissed off people around
And if we give the same effort in London that we gave in the first half verses Philly, WE WILL get our asses kicked again.

Its that simple.

Eh. Not just Philly. The jets have played poorly in the first half of all 3 games (defense played poorly against Eagles/Browns, offense had been terrible in all 3 games) . If you take out the luck (and mind boggling stupidity by a certain unnamed receiver), you could make a legit argument that the Jets played a worse first half against the Browns than they did against the Eagles.

The Jets offense has been non-existent before the 2 minute drill of the first half. One field goal against the Colts and 2 to drives of less than 10 yards.

If they are coming off a loss, they are angry/desperate and if they are coming off a win, they are on fire/firing on all cylinders.

I guess we have to hope teams are coming off a tie???

Or we stop worrying about the state of mind of another team (which the Jets cannot control) and just hope Bowles has our team ready for all scenarios.

Good luck against the Fins, - keep the mistakes down & you should do fine.

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins firing coach Joe Philbin in-season "remains a possibility."

This is pure speculation at this point, of course, but when given the chance, owner Stephen Ross failed to endorse Philbin as the Dolphins' coach for the remainder of 2015. Miami is off to a lousy 1-2 start, barely squeaking by the Redskins Week 1 before losing back-to-back games to the Jaguars and Bills. According to writer Barry Jackson, players are also starting to make some noise, complaining about the length and intensity of a recent practice. The Dolphins were believed to be privately flirting with now-Falcons coach Dan Quinn after last season.

I can easily see a coaching change in Miami - against the Bills, the Fins looked totally confused, on both side of the ball, for the whole game. - Of course the Bills came out like gangbusters from the start - took the wind right out of the Fins sails & they never recovered - that's a coaching problem. The Fins aren't about to win the SB - but they do have more talent than they showed last Sunday.

The Patriots offense looks deadly right now. Brady to Gronk looks almost impossible to defend.

With that said, the Jets have played the Patriots extremely close over the last few years. We can stay with them. We can beat them.

My big concern with the Pats is that their offensive strength matches well with out biggest defensive weakness, and that is coverage of backs and TEs. I'm hoping that TB can mask that weakness by replacing a coverage liability like Davis/Coples/Pace with a safety, or however he deems appropriate. Key will be inside pressure with Mo/Leo/Richardson/Coples and perhaps a safety blitz every now and then to keep Brady off his spots. Should be an interesting chess match.

If the team that showed up against Indy plays, the Jets will spank the Fins.

If the team that showed up against Philly plays, we're in deep doo-doo.

Not if the Dolphins team that played vs JAX shows up, but it might end up being more like a soccer score.

I was really surprised Phibin wasn't fired last year after the dismal, "who gives a crap" performance they put out against the Jets

With all due respect, anyone penciling in losses before we play has no confidence in this Jets team. We've always played hard against them. Brady hasn't faced Todd bowles. The defense will be at full strength with Sheldon back in there. Our defense is one of the best in the NFL.

Are the Pats great, absolutely..can we compete with them and beat the? We've done it before and we sure as hell can do it again.

As far as Buffalo. I'am still not convinced they're better than us. The more the season wears on, the more Rex will make the same undisciplined mistakes he made here. Bowles will have the team more focused as the weeks become more competitive.

I'am as well. But i have a gut feeling, unlike Rex, Bowles will pull a guy if he isnt doing well in favor of someone else that can do the job better. Regardless of position.

Right, but who would perform better than winters? I don't think he's on the roster.

i would think we would only know through trial and fire. Though i'am sure the O-Line will double team Suh as well at some points during the game. No one man can win the game for the dolphins.
