So what do the Jets do if the draft’s top receiver falls to them at 20?

The answer is pretty simple: you take him without hesitation. Marshall is coming off of a stellar year, but he will turn 32 in March and has two years left on his deal.

Having the opportunity to add a future number one target in Treadwell would be a fortunate situation for the Jets. This is a scenario that they should not have much debate over, especially a team looking to take the best player available, much like they did with Leonard Williams in 2015.

He plays a very similar game to Brandon Marshall where he won’t always outrun you, but he will body you and haul in everything with strong hands.

Besides the fact that Devin Smith isn't likely to be 100% healthy for training camp and with be further behind his development, that the team needs a sure handed #3 option. Eric Decker is more the slot receiver with Quincy Enunwa as the H Back, this could very well be a steal move in this upcoming draft.

Im a big believer in trying to get top talent whenever available. If THE best WR is available @20 you take him over the 4th best QB or the 3rd best LB

And I don't care if we are deep at the position (ie. Leo Williams)

unbelievable how many different directions we can logically go with the 20th pick..

Trade down. They have several needs and WR is one of them, but they could just as easily trade down accumulate picks for other needs and pick up a WR in the mid rounds.

This a relatively weak WR class. I would think if Treadwell fell to 20, you'd be able to find a willing partner to trade with.

You draft him no doubt. Everything said in the beginning thread can't be put much better. You draft him and let the OC and HC figure it out how to incorporating him. Can never have to many good receivers and besides, Treadwell would be in training to take over BMarsh spot when he is ready to hang it up.

If they have multiple picks via a Mo deal? Then I say take the BAP. Otherwise, I would suggest if you can't find value in the pick, trade down. The Jets have a need at WR, but using a 1st rounder on a 4th receiver I would consider to be a waste.

There are going to be some very interesting WR prospects in RD2 if you really want to go that route.

Is Treadwell that much better a player than Coleman, Doctson or Carroo?

Add to the fact that the staff will still want to give their 2nd rounder from last year another shot. I think the chance they take a WR in Rd 1 or 2 very unlikely.

if we are to take mac at his word, if he thinks this kid is the BPA he will be a jet..

as far as smith, he's going to miss critical practice time again next season due to injury.. who's to say year two won't be another lost season for him & if so, we still wouldn't know what we with him going into year three..
