Yeah, but that isn't difficult when you play like Thomas did and simply become a revolving door allowing defenses to just run by you freely. As far as Diggs is concerned trading him had no effect on the Jets. He was, thanks to our defense, a non factor this past season. They pretty much shut him down. In 2 games he managed about 130 yards and 1 touchdown.
