I give up

Youre right MJ

The Jets suck

Todd Bowles sucks and should be fired for his miserable record against an easy schedule

We should rehire Rex because he led his Bills to a great season against a much harder schedule ( the 9-7 schedule) than that dummy Bowles did against the much easier one ( the 4-12 schedule)

These are the facts and they are indisputable and Lt Kaffey or anyone else who tries to is Bologni, False and

Durrrr, I don't know the difference between marginally better and equal!

Obviously, you must not. You're the one that's stroking the beloved Jets as though they could never do anything wrong. At least I tell things like they are. That is the following reality:

The Jets had an EASIER schedule than the Patsies and they still managed to f*ck it all up.

So are the Jets average?

If so, that is 3 average or losing teams that beat the Pats. The Dolphins, losing record. The Eagles, losing record.

Which is it? Do the Jets suck, like you contend, and the Pats lost to three bad teams? Or were the Jets better than average?

Objectively speaking, the Jets suck WORSE than the Patsies. The Patsies won the division for the umpteenth time. They had a much better record than the Jets against better competition. The Jets had a chance at playoff success and when the drum roll came, they spit the bit.

I also think I know why. When the Jets were on there winning streak, they NEVER won games in dominant fashion. They certainly should have been also. They had momentum, they should have had plenty of confidence. They had offensive weapons. Their defense was playing off the charts. With the lone exception against a hapless Titans team, they just barely eked by their opponents. Example: When the Jets played the Cowboys prior to the Patsy game, I was looking for the Jets to rip them to shreds. Sing them a lullaby before halftime. Play the entire second half with 2nd and 3rd stringers. That's what I was expecting so I could say as a fan that this team was 100% ready to take on the Patsies. Instead, they damn near lost that game against a pathetic, hapless, injury riddled Cowboys team. IMO, it was a sign of things to come. I still had hopes for them making the playoffs, but I just didn't believe they had what it took to go deep in the playoffs. I knew they would be one and done even if they got in.

They lost the Buffalo game because they just lacked that killer instinct and because Todd Bowles provided the team with an amateur gameplan. He showed his rookie colors.

Some of us love our beloved Jets. Its why we are called "Jet fans"

Then there are the "realists" from places like Maine who pretend to be Jet fans but are forever torn between their geographical love of their hometown Partiots, their romantic love for the dumbass Circus clown in Buffalo and their genuine hatred of everything about the Jets.

So here we go..... Nothing factual to debate with? So you resort to sarcasm and insults? Go figure. I'll bet I have been a fan on the NYJ for longer than you have been alive.

No, it is you you do not. You keep talking about me, among others, saying the Jets had the exact same schedule as the Patriots.

NOBODY here has said that. I said the Pats' schedule was marginally better, and provided the numbers. But you seem incapable of understanding that.

As much as I have always wanted the Jets to win a Super Bowl, I want it more now, so "fans" like you would finally go away, like you did in the five game winning streak. You're just always waiting for the Jets to lose so you can troll.

So by saying the Jets suck worse, that suggests you think the Pats suck.

Being you are a fairly newly minted Buffalo Bills fan, I can see why you would think that. After all, they both finished higher in the division than your beloved Bills did.

the difference between the jets and pats schedules were 2 games against non afc east teams and the 2 games against each other.

and what did the jets f up? did you expect them to be better than the patriots? if so, how do you reconcile your rex ryan jock sniffing when he NEVER finished with a better record than the pats. and the pats probably always played the harder schedule since they play the two 1st place teams that vary and the jets played the 2nd, 3rd or 4th place teams, depending on the year.

did you expect the jets, coming off a 4-12 season (which your idol rex ryan coached) to suddenly rise up and beat out the defending SB champs?

btw - if the jets f'ed up, what does that say for rex and his bills? they had a WORSE record than the jets. they did WORSE than last year, whereas the jets were 6 games better than last year.

so i can only imagine what an awful year rex had if the jets f'ed up...

I was watching the highlights programme today after yesterday's great win...

One thing that stood out was the commentators stating that the Jets had an easy schedule...

Do the Pats not have the same schedule as us? Are the schedules not the same for all 4 teams in the AFC East?

Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

We had an easy schedule this year in that indy had a down year, cowboys had no quarterback, and we played the nfc east, the weakest nfc division. So things unrelated to our previous performance broke in our favor that won't necessarily happen again. Our opponents had a bad year, but the nfl doesn't quantify a true strength of schedule.

So my argument is false when in fact it was proved that:

1) The Pats DID have a tougher schedule.

2) The Pats DID have many more games outside of normal Sunday games.

3) The Pats did hold up their end of the bargain beating almost all of the average and losing teams in the league.

4) The Jets LOST to 4 teams with losing records and to their sworn enemy with the season on the line and got swept.

Nonsense, Everything that I have mentioned above is factual. I also mentioned that the Jets can only manage one win per season against a winning team. So my original post lays it out. That is, the Patsies DID have a tougher schedule.

Say I am false until you are blue in the face, but the fact still remains the JETS DID have an easier road through the season. As I already pointed out and even YOU seem to want to ignore it....

.441 DOES NOT EQUAL .473, and it NEVER will.

#2 is an outright lie. Why bother lying when people can read a schedule?

"Many more games....." They had the exact same number of non-Sunday games. In fact, the Pats got the gift of one of their non-sunday games being the Thursday kickoff game. That game of course is a huge advantage to have, giving you extra rest for week 2 without the downside of having a short week the week before.

Also that Pats didn't have a game out of the Sunday slot past week 11.
Also the Pats didn't play a non-Sunday game on the road.... All 3 of their games were at home. Which is a huge advantage.

Since we're talking strength of schedule, and we know how there is a certain Rex love here, should we look at the Bills? They had a schedule that had the same common opponents as the Jets and Pats. So their schedule was similarly weak.

Rex takes over a 9-7 team facing a weak schedule, and he leads them to 8-8. WHAT A GENIUS! Great coach!

You ready to put your money where your mouth is

First of all, I answered this post more than a day ago. However, I did it on my phone and apparently my phone must have gone on the fritz before I got that posted. Being that you seem to be able to spend 24 hours a day on this board, I guess I need to catch up. Some of us work for a living.

In regards to your bet, let me see, why don't we talk about the REAL reason you so badly want to bet me? That is, because you do not like it when I tell the truth? You do not like me? Well if you don't, I personally do not give a sh*t. Not to you or anyone else. If it still bothers you afterward, I can give you further instruction about where to put it. I'm so sorry you're so butt hurt by the Jets losing. I am very disappointed to be seeing the same old sick play, but I have come to expect it from this team. They broke my heart many times in the 80's and from that I learned that they were clearly doing something wrong.

I am also 100% certain why you so gladly offered a bet. That is because you used to be a poster on Jetsinsider. You remember me from there and you are attempting to bet me under the guise of having "inside information". You might think you're smarter than me, but I can tell based on all the jibberish that you post, you are far from it.

Now, here is my bet. I will bet you $10 of which the loser pays the board. The bet terms remain the same, that is you think you've been alive for longer than I have been a fan. Deal?

We have a deal.

So tell us

In what year did you become a Jet fan?

1969 after they won Super Bowl III is my guess. But lets assume 1960 when the franchise was founded.

I went to a game on Thanksgiving Day of that first season at the Polo Grounds when I was 16.

I graduated from HS in 1961 and missed Superbowl III because Uncle Sam decided I was needed more at Camp Enari in Pleiku, Vietnam on January 12, 1969

You lost

I don't need anyone's money. I just want this bullshit to stop. You don't realize how it's ruining the board. No one comes here to read insults and attacks. Deal with it via pm.

Either be respectful like the rest of the guys/gals of this board, or get out. Last warning.
