With the draft now over, I am thrilled at the offensive moves JD made. what does concern me a bit is
his emphasis on "D" with players in the 200s .Will they survive camp? We have great protection and a nice WR room for Zach, we have to have the "D". I'm not sure about having DBs as linebackers. As usual, what do I know?

That's my concern. too. How well will they be able to shed lead blockers to get to a ball carrier?

Maybe the plan is for those DBs that are hybrids will be great back ups and special team players. I mean we do have Davis, Mosley and I’m guessing Cashman as our starters. I’m not quite sure what was the thinking in those DB draft picks but I’m sure it will work out. I was think they would have gone edge rusher, olinemen and TE with those later picks but guess not. Once again, they have a plan and I think we all can agree that we can trust in them. So let’s just do that and enjoy the season. Go Jets!!!

You're correct,but I'm talking about one team, two units. We don 't care about how tired the opponent is. Right?

I think these hybrid DB/LBs will fit in some packages - and be flexible.

Cover TE or RB out of the backfield.

Play LB in nickle or dime coverage

Good enough in coverage to drop back, esp into zone as if they were a safety

The Jets have drafted and are signing players that will allow their new Head Coach to execute his "All gas no Brake " mantra . Faster type players at positions who excel in the classroom in society and still have a love for football .

No problem at all, when they see our CBs they'll abandon the run and air it out all day long.
