I'm really only a fan of the NFL. I'll take a passing interest in hockey if a local team is doing well, but that's about it. I find baseball dreadfully boring, which is a shame because it's all that's going on until august.

I play a lot of Hearthstone. I grill any chance that i get... Did some corn for my wife and son today. I spend usually Saturday with either my Mom or one of my in-laws.

I spent the last few months preparing my grad school application. I got accepted into Baruch college in nyc for the MBA program. Tough times ahead! This is going to be my last summer so I need to enjoy before I am in work/school hell.

Good for you.

Besides back and forth to Idaho, slaying some snook IMG_20160525_055213004.jpgIMG_20160525_061948436.jpgIMG_20160525_053724306.jpg

Wow. So there's something positive about living in New England right now. Just tonight I needed to wear a jacket in the backyard. Still pretty chilly out there after the sun sets.

Congrats. My dad (may he rest in Peace) graduated from Baruch in 1929 and I graduated from CCNY in 1965. I know how tough it is.

I went to Arizona once, in July, and holy crap it was hot. It WAS a "dry heat" as so many people point out, but it HAS to be, it's too hot for any moisture lol

Ah, nice. I've been playing Civ V lately (as I have off and on for a long time) and it's addictive! I am looking forward to the new one; there are going to be big changes.

But haha, everyone here are less nerdy than me - fishing and having families and stuff, no time to play Civ if you have actual responsibilities! Sounds like a lot of work to me, but apparently some people feel that their lives are "enriched" or "made better" by "having" a "family." Sure, ok, whatever! :14:

Having kids is a challenge. No doubt. And I still haven't reached the teen years yet. So it'll get more challenging in the years to come.

But I have zero regrets having children with my wife. They're more important to me than anything in this world.

I can tell you, between getting my Master's and my Ph.D., I spent a year doing nothing but adjuncting and working on GRE prep. It worked.

With an MBA path, I would imagine you're not looking the academia route, but if you are, I would strongly suggest that.

I joke, but honestly, I see the pictures of the kids here, and the dads who love them so much, and it really warms my heart. There is nothing more important in the world than making sure the kids grow up with love and with good role models, and the kids of the parents here clearly have those things, and it's a wonderful thing. So, good for you! I tip my hat to the dads everywhere!

GRE prep to get into grad school was tough as hell. I decided last minute that I want to go back to school so within a month I crammed everything in. Anyways, that didnt work. I bombed but thankfully my work experience was good enough to be accepted.
