I’m surprised this hasn’t come up yet...... But I wonder if upper management (including JD) actively made a decision weeks ago to tank this season ? Of course they will deny it ...... but yesterdays debacle seemed pretty orcastrated and hence the Williams firing as a sacrifice. ( I saw that coming the second Carr released it ) Also, the mysterious IR status on Austin (leaving #38 as a starter, who is terrible) who practiced the day before, the refusal to play Tre Johnson prior to yesterday when they had no choice, the mysterious benching of Lewis and playing Elfline (who is terrible),and the decision to play Darnold over Flacco, who was guiding the offense better than Darnold. Now I realize you need to see and showcase Sam for a potential trade, so I get that one......but the remainder mentioned above seems a bit strange to me. Now the players obviously don’t know this, nor should they.... but Im wondering IF that actual decision was made and if so, WHEN was it made? My guess was after the Colts game. Any thoughts.....

If it was & you could prove it I might leave the Jets until Woody sells the team. I say that now but who knows. I hope not.

If the are tanking it is from the top down, you cannot ask players to tank, it just won't work.

That being said, I'd love to see some accountability from JD and Gase. You can cry about the roster and talent that you received, but the bottom line is, this team has never played this bad, so all of the whining is just BS excuses, you are doing worse with what you have then the last guy.

It would have been interesting to see how the crowd reacted to the games this year

I would think a lot of no shows and a whole lot of booing from those who did come

Would have been particularly mad this past week. A loss like that after freezing for so many hours then facing NJ traffic for 2 hours would not have been pleasant
