“Teddy” pleads to Robert Saleh to not draft Kyle Hamilton

It's great that a jets fan, even though he's a relatively new comer to the fan base, got to voice his opinion to Coach Saleh.

Think about it...

If our Jets fan base pretty much hated Jamal Adams for being a Safety as a former #6 overall draft pick despite an NFL All-Rookie Team selection, multiple Pro Bowl appearances, multiple All-Pro selections and multiple top 100 NFL Player Award Honors etc.

Then what can Kyle Hamilton possibly do in order to become both beloved and appreciated by our NY fan base if selected 4th overall? Become HOF Ed Reed over night or something?

And believe it or not but Jamal Adams @ LSU was even more of a beast in College than Kyle Hamilton has been @ Norte Dame because #33's 3 year LSU production absolutely destroys Kyle Hamilton's 3 year Norte Dame career (within just about every statistical category known to Safety mankind) because Jamal was considered #1 overall worthy for a reason.

And for all this talk about Kyle Hamilton being an elite NCAA ball hawking Safety etc he's only got 8 INT only 3 more than #33 (even Jamal had 5).

This is an easy no (just for the sake of my NY fan base).
Yes I do see the parallel between Kyle Adams and Jamal Hamilton. But I didn't like Adams for the same reason that I don't like Hamilton but it has nothing to do with either player. I just feel like the team has too many needs to be spending an early 1st rounder on a safety.

+1... a safety in the first round is when you have a loaded team and security at QB, LT on a completed OLine, DE's, and CB's.
it's a luxury pick!

That or you're willing to bet your career on him being the next Ronnie Lott. But then again, Ronnie Lott was drafted as a CB.

Or a guaranteed Ed Reed who went 24th overall after we took Bryan Thomas right before him @ 22nd overall 🤮

Everyone claims Kyle Hamilton is some big time type of ball hawking Safety but yet he's only recorded 8 career INTs throughout 3 years @ Norte Dame in comparison to Jamal Adams 5 career INTs throughout 3 years @ LSU (a whooping 3 more).

Ed Reed's final 2 years alone @ Miami U? 17 INTERCEPTIONS! (TALK ABOUT A 🏈 HAWK).
That too. I liked Bryan Thomas though....but of course not that much. With that said, Ed Reed was drafted at the back of the first round, and at the time, I didn't consider a DE to be a position of need.
