Texans cut OT Matt Kalil (Ryan's brother), Browns cut OT Greg Robinson

I'm not saying either are Trent Williams, but I'll be surprised if we don't sign one of them.

Both are former first round picks. Kalil is 30. Robinson is 26.

If the Jets sign Kalil or Robinson:

... cut Lachlan Edwards as the corresponding move.

Three Reasons:

1. He's too inconsistent. One Punt he booms and the next one he shanks. I'm tired of hoping its the former and not the latter.

2. This new Kicker we claimed is not just a Kicker. He's a Punter too. In fact he might even be a better Punter, once unloaded a 92 Yarder.

Yes, you read that right, that was not a typo ... a 92 Yarder.

3. The luxury of having a hybrid Kicker/Punter is immense because it saves you a roster spot elsewhere.

Kalil cut may be just a salary adjustment move where they plan to re sign him - of course, once he is cut he does have the potential to decide that he would like to play with his brother

I don't care if he's a fifth cousin, twice removed (if there is such a thing). If he's better than who we have, and we can sign him, sign him.
