I tried this: After reading your post in this thread, I hit the back button, then clicked on another thread, and hit the back button again. The "thanks" thread still displayed as unread. I then hit the refresh button, and "thanks" became read. So it looks like hitting the back button then refreshing does the job. Of course, that's still 2 button presses. Still, that does seem easier than pressing the "top" button then squinting to find and click on the very smallish Jets 101 link, so I will switch to "back+refresh." It would still be nicer if only the back button did the job though.
BTW, would it be difficult to place the "Jets 101" link at the bottom of every thread in that forum? Not trying to single out that particular forum, but a similar thing could be done at the bottom of every thread in each forum. That is, put a link back to the specific forum's main page at the bottom of every thread appearing in that forum.
