The 2022 Season .... Lots to look forward too.

We have an all new Mekhi Becton and found Denzel Mims back in the fold ...... We have Carl Lawson coming back from Injury ... we have a powerful offensive line ... we have Moore & Davis ready to really contribute, we have two new pass catching TE's to complete the offensive game plan ... we have a talented defensive backfield who will improve with the past year under their belt ...... and most of all we have 9 draft picks ... 5 of which should yield us top prospects.

I would rather be in the toughest division than in the weakest and then lose in 1st round of playoffs like the Cowboys. We will have to earn a playoff spot in the next few years.

Trouble is, even if we do battle to the top of the ant-hill it will be difficult to compile the sort of record that gets the bye week or home field with four teams knocking each other off. What we need is to be in the same division as the Jets!

We've played against the best every year in Brady, Marino and Kelly and every year it was always the "same ol Jets". Maybe now it will be our turn.

i am hoping that...

1.) The OLine upgrade is significant.
2.) Lawson + a top DE in the draft + a top DT in the draft gives us the DLine that makes Saleh's D churn.
3.) The TE upgrade is significant.
4.) Year 2 for Zach, Cory, Eli, Carter with LaFleur produces more productivity.
5.) All DB's are healthy.

that's many things to hope for, but not a lot to ask of each position group or player.

in the start of the season, if those things happen, we will "shock the WORLD". but by the end, the world will realize we had the start of a good team who needs to be paid attention to.

Seems the Jets play much better against higher caliber competition ( see Cincy, Tampa, Tenn, Buffalo 2nd game) than we do against turd competition. Not too concerned about the schedule

As far as the AFC East, only Josh Allen concerns me. Tua has Tyreek now, but it’s still Tua. Mac Jones might be good but I need to see more. Zach Wilson needs to take the next step but he showed me a lot more ceiling than Mac Jones or Tua. Zach has the “wow” factor much more than the aforementioned other two.

The rest of the AFC is another story. There’s franchise QB’s everywhere in this conference now. We really need Zach to reach his full potential. No more rebuilds. 2022 is HUGE.
