E, you're painting the picture that smith has turned over a new leaf on & off the field.. he hasn't.. after a nice start to camp, it sounds like his play has been shaky at best.. temper tantrum on the practice field, slamming his helmet.. continuing to try to win an impossible battle with the NY media.. LOLz good luck with that even if you're a star.. unnecessary (poor me) tweets..I feel bad for Geno. He's terrible but at this point has earned the right to let it all play out without everyone jumping on his back
So what exactly are you proving? We've already established that Bryce Petty is playing BETTER now. We've already taken notice that Petty is getting MORE reps with the 2's than Geno now, We've already taken notice that Bryce Petty outplayed Geno in the Jaguars game.
And in regards to you CLAIMING that Geno's #2 job is not in danger?????
Well, all I can say is if you believe that, I have some beach front property to sell you.
The CS would have to be virtual idiots if they are not giving Petty every opportunity to win the #2 job. It's already been said.....Geno has NO future with this team. The Jets are NOT cutting Bryce Petty.
As far as the raw deal sh*t goes......WTF cares?? This is a MANS game. It isn't for a bunch of pussies that need periodic cookies and milk breaks. It's called put up or shut up. That's the name of the game whether you care to acknowledge it or not. Geno got 2 solid years to show his worth with at least one legitimate receiver. Eric Decker is no slouch. He is an extremely QB friendly receiver. Geno created ZERO chemistry with the guy. ZERO. Meanwhile, even in the one game he played last game he continued to do dumb sh*t with the football. That was with a legitimately good supporting cast mind you.
Geno should be gone and whatever you think you're proving is WRONG.......
Lol, why do I have to be trying to prove something? I am merely expressing my opinion, which, since it disagrees with yours, prompts you to be insulting and obnoxious. That's fine, I don't know you from a hole in the wall and could care less what you think or say, notwithstanding the fact that on the whole, I prefer civil, intelligent discourse to your brand of arrogant, irrational pap. And there is the added benefit of the entertainment value of you twisting every development to fit your know-it-all opinions.
As Charlie Casserly said, the Jets HAVE to give Petty as many reps as they can to be sure that it is worth their while to keep four QBs - not because he is competing with Geno at this stage. Is it possible that Petty shines through so brightly that the Jets reconsider? Sure, that is possible although improbable, given his complete lack of any NFL game experience whatsoever. And btw, I am pretty sure that Geno's "they make it up" tweet was referring to this - the media acting as though the CS giving extra reps to Petty was an indication that he was competing with Geno, despite Bowles stating clearly that that was not the case, and not understanding that the Jets simply need to see as much of Petty as they can before making the key roster decisions.
Btw, Geno had one season with Decker, 2014, during which Decker battled a hamstring problem almost the entire season. Despite that, and despite Decker being Geno's only real weapon so that opposing teams knew they just had to focus on taking Decker away... Despite all that, Decker had only SIX fewer catches and 65 fewer receiving yards in 2014 than he had in the 2015 season! So you reveal what an oblivious farce you are when you make demonstrably false claims like saying that Geno created zero chemistry with Decker, when a hobbled Decker in 2014 had essentially as good a year with Geno as a healthy Decker had in 2015 with Fitz.

Classic Geno apologist post....... All Geno had to do was show something, anything to give an indication that he was deserving of more time. He never showed a thing. On top of all of that, he proved he was a JERK. So all in all, he proved nothing on the football field, but he did prove to the fan base that he was a jerk.
I feel bad for Geno. He's terrible but at this point has earned the right to let it all play out without everyone jumping on his back
the problem with Geno is Geno.

Gary Meyers with an excellent article rearding Geno. (to all the Smith'apologist who will soon be M.I.A once Petty over takes him, should take the time and open the link)

One of my issues with Geno Smith was this topic this off season.
He made it clear to the world that he was practicing with Odell Beckham, antonio Brown Jarvis Landry and other WR NOT ON HIS OWN TEAM.
That alone shows me that his teammates don't even want to be bothered with him. Even with Fitzpatrick not being signed at the time you'd think atleast one of our own receivers would have want to create a repor with him.
I'am done with this self centered individual.
Decker was also the #1 WR in 2014 and in 2015 he was the #2 guy and put up the same #'s....
So they argument could be made a better QB in 2014 and Decker would have had a much much better season...
All about your paradigm.... and every ones can be spun differently,
