Here is some analytics I just ran through R that looks at the Average Yards Per Attempt of Sam Darnold, Jay Cutler, and Ryan Tannehill under Adam Gase and other OCs. What is fascinating is with each QB including Darnold - the number are consistently higher with other OCs with the same QB. Additionally, you will find that every QB that is playing well averages 8 to 12 when you run the numbers. So much for Brilliant Mind. This is clear evidence of how badly he has hurt our QB.

Of course Sam doesn't have the deep ball to Robbie any more.....

Its just very telling - Adam Gase does not like to let his QB's air it out - its not built into his offense - he doesnt trust his QB's to throw. It is clearly evident Sam be put in position by Gase to make passes consistently longer than 5 to 7 yards.
