OG Sweezy ($1.5M last year) & LT Okung ($7.28M last year) are the only SEA OL players currently in UFA limbo & commanding more than $1M.
Centers Lewis & Jeanpierre, & OG Bailey (2016 UFA offensive linemen) weren't even in the $600k range.
The rest are ERFAs, under contract for at least one more year, &/or (Britt) just signed a deal.
Looks like the Jets cleaned out their cupboards already.

wonder if the Jets would try to snake Rueben Randle from the Giants, he be an ideal role player behind Eric Decker and has starting potential. still believe the Jets will be very active in free agency just not signing back breaking deals.

Randle is an interesting player. I like his potential. On a radio interview this year, he was questioned about spending time with eli, to which he got quiet and responded zero. It seemed like eli was a complete stranger to him off the field.

I wonder how a guy like Fitz could break Randle out of his shell. We all know he communicates non stop, and loves building chemistry.

Randall needs a motivator..... He gets lazy for stretches...... Look at his numbers imagine what he could do if he played every game given 100%.... Guy gives 75% most games 25% some games and sometimes you dont even know he is on the field

and despite that in 2015 he had 71 catches for 938yds and 3 tds and 2016 he had 57 catches for 797 yds and 3tds.

Those are solid numbers. Idk if anyone can motivate him to give 100% all the time

What do we know about Courtney Upshaw who is visiting Jets this week?

Drafted in '12 (Ravens 2nd Round), is more of a run stuffer than an edge rusher... To-date has only 5 sacks...

A younger, not as good, and more expensive version of Calvin Pace?

Could be ideal if they still don't believe Mauldin is ready to be that three down player... Sign Upshaw to be the 2 down rush linebacker, then bring Mauldin in on passing downs... But I believe Mauldin is ready to take the next step... That saying Upshaw is a poor man's Quinton Coples that has the desire to play the game...
