Giving it a bit more thought, perhaps what happened is that Tomlin watched the regular season game tape and made adjustments, a la what Rex did to Belichick after the Pats blew out the Jets.
Well, if it was, it was only in the 1st half. They never scored a single point in the 2nd half. All in all, I think there were two reasons why we lost. I think the slow start was hard, but certainly not something that team was unable to overcome.
1) A 17 play drive in the 2nd half that ended with zero points. Wayne Hunter sucked on 4th down.
2) The Jets D could not keep Ben in the pocket. There simply wasn't enough pass rush in those days and they sometimes had problems setting the edge.
