In my opinion, the main problem is both conceptual and arrogant.:
1. Having a rookie coach AND offensive coordinator.
2. Having several starters playing positions OTHER than what they played in college. Believing that you can take certain height, weight, and speed metrics and turn them into good NFL players at new positions, notably with college DBs now playing linebacker. How could these players POSSIBLY have the necessary instincts? It was one of the concerns that I had about Sam, who played mostly linebacker in college.
3. Rigidly using schemes that may NOT fit our current roster, rather than adapting your schemes to the players that you actually HAVE!
4. To modify a familiar cliche, if you have 4 QB coaches, you have none.
