The 2020 undrafted free agent out of Memphis has not played since Week 7. Huff has 10 tackles, 10 pressures, seven QB hits, three hurries and two sacks in six games. He has played 254 defensive snaps while also contributing to special teams.

His athleticism on the defensive line surely has been missed. Coming back will tighten things across the D line giving another experience fast twitchy D end to employ with Q., JFM, Foley and the others.

His athleticism alone will help put pressure on Tyrod Taylor and help solidify the presence of the D line and front 7 as a whole.

I don’t want to trade him either, but he’s going to get to a point where a decision about paying him becomes an issue. If you already have a Thibs in the pipeline, then you now have an asset that could garner you a nice haul. Keep building the roster yearly and increasing your draft capital while managing your cap .
If Huff proves to be worthy of paying without having to think about it then we pay him .

remember Carl Lawson recovery time is roughly 18 months to 2 years that means his two years of guarantees will run out and the decision to tender Huff for his 4th year or stick with Lawson can be a debate after next season...
