SPOILER ALERT! If you haven't watched tonight's episode of The Walking Dead, don't read any further!
Season five of The Walking Dead is shaping up to be the deadliest and most twisted season yet. There were a lot of interesting developments and I for one cannot wait to see how these twists will play out in the final two episodes of the season.

It's clear that the dynamics between the Alexandrians and Rick's group have shifted. Deanna and her community are Rick and company circa season three. They were untouched by tragedy and for the most part sheltered from the outside post-apocalypse. Whereas, Rick and his group have suffered immeasurable loses and innumerable setbacks. The question that many have wondered was if Rick and the other survivors who we have come to love were slowly becoming the villains of the second half of the fifth season having been corrupted by the post-apocalyptic world. I've been fighting this notion for the last few weeks but after what I saw tonight, including the exchange between Carol and Rick regarding Pete, and Father Gabriel's sermon to Deanna, I cannot deny it any longer, but it's clear that the writers intend to vilify our group of survivors. Which is why...
They had no choice but to kill off the TWO characters that departed The Walking Dead in tonight's episode. So let's talk about the bloodbath, the first death, which was Aiden Monroe, eldest son of Deanna Monroe, leader of Alexandria, I didn't really shed a tear about, especially because he was such an asshole towards Glenn a few episodes ago. His death was necessary, however because it sets up the inevitable clash between Deanna and Rick. I'm sure this will be the catalyst that Deanna will use her son's death as the first reason why she and the other Alexandrians shouldn't trust Rick and that they made a mistake letting them in. The second reason, no doubt, will come from that sermon delivered by Father Gabriel in the last five minutes of tonight's episode. The second, more devastating death, was Noah, who was just starting to grow on me. He didn't last that many episodes as a permanent fixture of Rick's group but losing him was definitely a loss and here's why it was a necessary loss, Noah represented the last semblance of innocence in Rick's group and although, in his last moments, he yelled for Glenn not to let go, there was no choice, and in that moment the stage was set for an all out war between Rick and Deanna. A point only furthered by...
The WTF moment of the episode, when Father Gabriel turned on Rick and the group that rescued him earlier this season. It seems that what Father Gabriel was saying is how the writers are portraying Rick and company, as the villains. He said that he has witnessed them doing heinous things in the name of survival but what he has failed to realize is that there is no morality, no good or bad, no right or wrong; there is only survival. It is interesting that he and the Alexandrians have the same motto about what to do when the going gets tough, which is to run and leave those who are a part of your group behind if necessary. The construction site and supply run scenes showed how willing the Alexandrians are to leave their friends behind which echoes Father Gabriel's decision to leave his congregation behind to die in order to save himself. So who really is the righteous? The priest? or our survivors?
Overall, great episode. I loved the exchange between Carol and Sam and the realization that the young boy and possibly the rest of his family including Rick's potential new squeeze Jesse are victims of abuse at the hands of Pete. Carol, who was a victim of abuse herself, told Rick to kill Pete but as he is the only resident doctor in Alexandra, who will save the badly injured Tara?
Best line of the episode goes to Abraham: "Mother Dick" LMAO.
