As far as this subject goes, there are too many penalties (especially PI) and instant reply is just another long commercial break. A snappier pace would be nice but the problem is not that bad though, the sport is not as broken as baseball

One of the issues is that today every little thing is just so earth shattering important. Sports really doesn't much matter, it is entertainment, not life

How many of you think that this beingthe first Superbowl with a lady official had something to do with the number of flags thrown? No, I'm not blaming the woman, but the NFL thinking there might be more attention than usual decided not to go with the "just let them play" game plan and instructed the crew to call a tighter game. That would surely hurt the Chiefs more as they had the all the O line injuries and just plain played a sloppier game. In the end though, I think the Chiefs were going to lose no matter how the game was called.

We know all too well, from experience, how much strain a poor "O" line puts on the QB and the Chief's "O" line was decimated before the game and was not anywhere near as good as normal. I don't know if they would have won the game if their "O" line had been up to par. It's anyone's guess, but, I would be willing to bet that the game would have been a much closer game and thus a lot more fun to watch.

I hate the Brady (Cry Baby) Rule
If you can't protect your QB (Too Bad!!)
New Rules each year keeps taking the fun out of the game that I grew up to love.

I'll answer the flag question with a question - who hear can wildly cheer when our team scores w/o the slap in the head feeling that you have to check yourself to make sure there wasn't a flag? It just seems raw emotion has been clipped by the excessive flags.

To me, this all started when they tightened up pass interference because of Ty Law and the aggressive style he played. I'm sure some here could remind me of Mel Blount being the father of PI rule changes, but it's the combo of replay and the Ty Law changes where you can't even touch a receiver that has the game where it is today. We do overanalyze everything. We wanted replay to correct the injustices of Mike Renfro in Pittsburgh, not to detail the slap and tickle of CBs/WRs.

I agree I look for a flag on every play. Even the instant replays lol
