This is so sad to say but I have not missed sports at all this year.

Yes I wish the Bruins & Blues had a chance to repeat but beyond that I have not missed all the drama in sports. I can't believe that they will play this year with a Virus. The players will be dropping like flies.......lets see what happens

Drama in sports....should be about sports is the problem. I think sports in general are forgetting they are entertainment business and an escape from the politics and crap in the world. They forget that as fans it is why we watch and spend our money. Same reason we throw on a TV show then watch the news all the time. No matter the politics of an individual - everyone just wants a chance to escape and breath and relax - to forget for a couple of hours that the world is far from imperfect in so many ways - politics, pandemics, war, crime, natural disasters, economy, ....We non-millionaires pay so we can get away - its why sports are great as you can talk to any other fan in a common vocabulary despite any difference. The sports industry has seemed too forgotten this. It is interesting that since Coronavirus many people that I speak to, regardless of their background, have told me they do not miss it. If sports comes back on the field highly politicized or abnormal in some manner due to pandemic - I think they will lose their audience completely. If a fan needs to sit there and feel stressed out about things other than their team losing - they will seek out other forms of entertainment. Especially when you look at the time investment factor - sports requires so much time on top of the money investment. Figure the normal fan spends 16-20 hours a week reading and watching during an NFL season. Many have already experienced new outlets for this time and will not want to use it again for this type of entertainment especially if it will be depressing and not provide the escape it once did. Added to all this is the quality of the product - what will sports look like when players are not conditioned - will our favorite players be immediately injured - will players be missing due to sickness - will games be exciting without fans in the stadiums? Will people even have money to spend on sports? So many non-millionaires who are the fans are out of work due to pandemic and even as people start to get jobs back - sports are a luxury item. Through all the craziness - not a single news article that has acknowledged this. The world has changed - the future of sports will be interesting.

The more important question is:
Do you miss Barry?
