Yes Joe Douglas made a couple smart moves signing some veteran linemen... Drafting Becton, Clark for the future of the line... Restructuring Avery Williamson's contract, while getting rid of the trash this offseason... We drafted well, but could of filled other needs as well, through priority free agents...

Players like Chapelle Russell from Temple could of fit this defense and given us some stability moving forward... If you need an example of what type of player Russell is just look at his comparison on our roster Neville Hewitt... Would of loved to draft his counterpart at Temple who is on the Philadelphia Eagles roster in Shaun Bradley, a style that we have soon forgot about but much still in the Green & White family, Bart Scott type middle linebacker...

Unlike some here I like our core youth in the secondary, Blessaun Austin, Bryce Hall (if he every gets activated) is a nice core to have... Brian Poole looks to be a short term rental and is likely gone after this season... Wonder if they could promote Javelin Guidry to the active roster can not be any worse then Nate Hairston in coverage... Guidry has wheels and could make up for any miss steps taken... There is another practice squad signing I would do that would try to sign in Stanford Samuels III off the Packers practice squad, Stanford has the same raw attributes of Bless Austin did last season coming out of Rutgers...

Defensive Line needs one new addition just so the team can utilize Sheperd & Fatakusi more in the same package as they did last year when they were able to dominate together... Quinnen Williams should be lining up inside but they wont do that, so we need to grab another nose tackle and Benito Jones currently on the Miami Dolphins practice squad could be that option moving forward... I see they try to use Foley as nose tackle but they also line him up at end with Mclendon the primary nose guard on defense...

On offense, my problem is receiver... I don't like the Perriman signing, don't like Hogan on this roster and honestly I don't like Crowder because they take him out of the equation because he is the best so they double team him often... Even if we get Mims back soon, there isn't another talented option that is long term that will prove to be anything but a short term rental... We have capitol for trades but now the one I would trade is shelfed in Le'Veon Bell... Don't know the status of Avery Williamson but his paycut makes him more viable trade option now... Both receivers Smith on IR... Can we be brash and trade new signed Chris Hogan for an undrafted receiver and if so either Marquez Callaway or Trishton Jackson are two I would consider... Callaway more of Larry Fitzgerald physical type while TJ is more elusive in his route running...

If this team is to be successful, moving on from Le'Veon Bell, getting younger at receiver while bolstering the inside linebacker position and depth at corner should be a now concern... I can see Gore re-signing with the Jets for another one year deal and being productive as well... Perine & Adams can be a feature duo if given the chance... Our team's offensive prowess shouldn't be on dink and dunk passing attack should be more crossing patterns and up and outs to stretch the defenses coverage which would allow for big runs to the outside while pounding it north and south...

Guess we will have to wait for Gase to go before that will happen...

I am good with this but for Hogan. yes you can trade him for value I am in but we need to give the D man someone that can catch. I may cut him up at times but the guy has nothing at rec. Bell was a mistake from the start There must be 20 WR,s out there that are better then what we have. The kids needs someone to catch the ball

I like what Douglas has done so far. I'm going to believe in him until he gives me reason not to. seems his plan is a going to take more than a year and that is fine if it builds us a young team that is good for a long time which is the goal

I dont mind losing, heck I'm used to it and expect it, but I dont want to see us suck in every aspect of the game like this week. I think the first few dropped passes deflated us like tom brady deflates footballs. we need to get a damn first down before the second quarter.

as for Darnold, he has not done anything yet in my eyes to make me think he will be great. a lot of that is due to the shit around him but if he were gonna be great, he would have taken over at least 1 game and won it on his own

I say we shoot for the #1 pick
