Thoughts and observations on game 2

The 49ers used 12 & 13 personnel to spread the d line damn near sideline to sideline. The DEs were blocked by TEs or RBs allowing their o line to open holes at the second level all night. Stubborn coaches and coordinator refused to adjust..... Best was hearing Salah praising Clemmons for being one of the best players on the field on Monday night.

Can you imagine this season when Wilson has been bested by Lazard because our QB looks the other way all game, I can.

Loved him in Green Bay, got him signed here and then got injured and Lazard was hopeless, one game in 2 TDs and 89 yards.

Well, that is fair but I'd rather he threw to Wilson all the same, I mean not every throw but cooper Kupp got 21 targets this week and the two next guys got 7 each not sure how many paccu got before injury but that seems a good level of throwing the damned ball for a Star QB.
Maybe I'm just being greedy lol

You throw to the guys who are open, not to a well-covered guy just to get him a stats line. As for 21 targets, you have to be on the field for that long first.

I said it earlier, but I was surprised at the very limited TE receiving targets. Were they being kept in to pass protect? I think instead of all of the short stuff to Wilson and Lazard, open it up a bit with TEs on the short to intermediate stuff with WRs on the boundaries deep middle, etc. I'm no great offensive mind, but I think that might open up the run game as well because LBs and safeties aren't crowding within 10 yards pf LOS. Would love it if someone could explain where I'm wrong.

Conklin is a capable pass-catcher. People who are tactically more observant than me have said that the Jets' schemes against the Niners took him out of the passing game.

Lazard did exactly what he was supposed to do. They put all of the attention on Garrett and Lazard took advantage. That is what we want from the other receivers, give the defense something else to focus on.

Of course it would be. I’m low barring it because I’m hoping M. Williams, Conklin and the others step up and contribute major also. If they do then this will be average and very feasible for Wilson. If they don’t then the ball goes to Wilson more and the production does also.
