Zach's throws seemed off a little in that game. Not the usual accuracy that I have seen. My initial thought was perhaps he was hurting from the hits taken week one. Then I read yesterday that he sustained a mild groin injury from week one. If the staff knew, and obviously they did, the reigns should have been pulled on him. The play calling was questionable at times with a successful run game established. He had openings in the pass game underneath and should have thrown them there. This is about proper execution of called plays. When the game is close especially in the opening stages, a rookie should not take many risks. Survey the defensive scheme, confirm their attack with coaches, and take what's given. Make the defense adjust first. Chalk this performance to rookie growing pains. I'm sure we'll see a better Zach soon.
