This is the active roster group, until either one of these guys above comes back this group is little less than optional... We don't know what to expect from Herndon, we know Wesco is a tad more than a blocker but Ross Travis to me more of an H-Back that has a big catch radius but his catching ability is less to be desired... He can block but then why have Wesco a younger more versatile H Back that can block very well...

With Brown & Griffin timeline uncertain wouldn't put it past the team to either sign another tight end, or keep an additional receiver possibly this is the opening for Cager outside an injury to make the active 53... The other option would to carry five running backs, both Dixon & our draft pick have been known to line up at fullback... Bell & Gore have the complexity to be receivers opening the door for many formations that won't work with Gase calling the plays...

Yes
The TE position has concerned me as a Jet fan since Mickey Shuler
Especially since most of the competitive teams have a decent to good or great TE. That's the way the league is now with offensive play.
I would have liked the Jets to have pursued Olson as a filler / leader at the position but I got shot down as to we don't want old players . ( Hello Frank Gore )
Anywho, the Jets didn't want him and it still seems they don't feel it's a need for Sam to develop .
Ugh

I have faith that Herndon will be an impact guy and a favorite of Sam's along with Crowder. Griffin was very good as Herndon's replacement, so we're fine as long as they stay healthy.
