Tomlin stepping down as Steelers HC!!

I will say this about Harbaugh and Tomlin. Neither of them are in or even deserved to be in the playoffs. All coaches except Payton are younger coaches. Retreads like Carroll didn't work out and maybe Harbaugh/Tomlin were good mainly because the organization was good. The problem is the Jets couldn't get the best young coach because they know it's career suicide.

Tomlin is under contract with the Steelers for 2 more seasons. They own his rights . If he wants to coach again, the team he goes to will have to negotiate a trade with the Steelers before they can sign him.
Your not seriously suggesting that the Jets are more attractive than the Ravens, Steelers, Green Bay.... Perennial playoff teams with well run organizations. Philly who has been a Super Bowl contender /winner for years now. Those coaches will end up swapping teams. The top coaches will fill those top jobs. The Jets can't complete. They will only cement their title as dysfunctional and end up with the less desirable candidates to choose from.

Definitely not giving up draft picks for Tomlin.

That's what he needs to do. Nothing. But he can't keep from meddling. He will instruct mougy to trade all the first round picks from the next 2 drafts for Philip Rivers.

Oh so Tomlin signed a new deal I didn't know about. Not trading a much needed 1st rder for an HC.
No Im not saying the Jets are  more attractive than the high profile openings that are available I'm just saying the Jets are not as unattractive as they are made out to be for the right guy.
If Sirirrani or Lafleur become available you do exactly as the Patriots did.
You fire the guy learning on the job and hire the "no-brainer" HC.
How you like to be the guy who turns the Jets into contenders?
Scary question for some.

Harbaugh looks like He's going to the Giants and is going to work with the in place GM.
You can't believe everything you read.
Everyone said Harbaugh wanted control but it looks like that was false.

I can see it now, the Jets win the Superbowl and as the tickertape procession wends its way through Manhattan two bedraggled figures stand outside Florham Park in the rain with placards:

'Guess they'll never fire Glenn now, @Bigmoe'.
