That’s because he played well the entire season for the most part and they believe in him, the coaches and the team. We don’t have that here!

Here’s my question, what are the 49ers going to do with their QB situation this off season? It’s pretty obvious that Jimmy G is as good as gone now, being that they got this amazing rookie QB that just fell into their damn laps. Let’s not forget about, Trey Lance who was supposed to be their savior. So Jimmy G is expendable now, I get that but what about the other two?
Do they keep both and if so, who do they start? It’s a beautiful problem to have! Some teams just have it all and are so damn lucky. They fall into QBs like it’s running out of style. Teams like the 49ers, Steelers, Patriots, Packers etc… Meanwhile the Jets can’t get one no matter what they do! This rookie Purdy, has earned the right to be their starter now IMO, but will they do that if Lance is coming back this year?
Lance hasn’t had a chance yet to prove his worth yet but is that his fault. Last year he didn’t play much and this year he gets hurt. Lance supposedly has all the talent and potential in the world but Purdy is rock solid and proving by being undefeated so far. He’s not just being carried to victories, he’s holding his own and helping to lead this team to victories. This will be very interesting!

I like Herbert, but he didn't step up to the plate. That whole team Jetted themselves.
No QB is going to hit on every pass. It’s just not possible. Even the best of them have made many of mistakes. My question is, would you rather have Herbert or any of the QBs we have now? Would you rather have Lawrence or Hurts or Fields or Prescott or Mahomes or Allen or Burrow or Jackson than what we have now? Ofcourse you would!!!
