Although I will never be glad for someone getting injured, it's obvious the football gods are still looking over us. Geno does not help us win. He is disaster right around the corner. He is always that close from doing something that is game changing in favor of the opponent. He's also a creep and not really anyone players feel comfortable rallying around. But most of all, he is NOT the future of this organization. Why every fan has had to explain this to the CS, just escapes me??
There is NO good reason Geno is still a Jet.
So Geno getting hurt allows us the fans to get what we think is best for the team. That is starting Bryce Petty. I know toilet Bowles still wants Fitz starting and that is stupid, but IMO Fitz will force Bowles hand again. Fitz will look like garbage again and Bowles will be forced to go to Bryce Petty. It's time for us to see what the future holds.
Now, WHY we have to hope for convenient injuries just so the CS will be forced to do the right thing is really, REALLY, sad. This is to say that our CS does NOT know what it is doing? This is purely inexcusable. The fan base and the CS have a fundamental disagreement that goes right to the very root of what is viewed as being right.
For me, and I won't include everyone in this, I cannot trust the CS to do the right thing. My feeling is they make one stupid decision right after another. The decision to start Geno does not make any sense to me. The decision to go back to Fitz does not make any sense to me.
The only thing I have wanted to see, and I am sure the masses can agree with this, if Bryce Petty start. The season is already lost. There's no way the Jets can turn this thing around. There's too much damage that's already been done. This has become about the future and seeing what young QB can rally the players. We need to see what QB elevates the play of the players around him.
That is not happening here. This is just a never ending nightmare. Toilet Bowles is the guy we should be angry with. This has always been his decision and no one else's....
