Joe D sitting on his ass for 2 days is an utter disgrace. Or is it ? I gotta think he isn’t that cheap or stubborn. Perhaps we are closer to Watson than we think and it may involve Mosely . Maybe they are negotiating how much they need to eat on Mosley’s contract in addition to Watsons cap hit. maybe toss in Davis and Darnold (to compete with Tyrod) and our 2 1’s this year and something next year , then try to sign Hyder, Neal and an SF corner (name escapes me) . Could be the math is taking longer than originally thought

you can not spend if no one wants to come here, when we start proving were are legit contenders even a 500 team then you can sign a big time free agent to fill a need...

Jets signed a couple good players because of Robert Saleh, and free agency technically just started today... would expect a couple more signings in the next three days might not be flashy signings but needs...

Excellent reply . It’s easy to forget (because you’re a fan) that this isn’t the most desirable destination. Especially after the 2 yr fuck show that was Adam Gase

there are plenty of guys out there who could improve the Jets. And there will be more as successive rounds of cuts happen. especially in this season of a tight cap, more FAs will be out there. I'm fine if the plan is to wait for high value opportunities.

remember there is one notion out there is if you are a decent player with Robert Saleh you will be coached up to be good and fit the scheme...

so we have or should have no worries about free agency to this point... they are still evaluating the roster...

we have 17 unrestricted free agents that no one signed... so we still could retain a couple of those guys for this new coaching staff...

Breshad Perriman depends on how they view Crowder's situation and if they plan on drafting one or two receivers

We can't just go out there and throw huge chunks of money at everything with a measurable pulse rate.
That's ready, fire, aim.
We all think Saleh and JD have a roster and financial plan to build a winner and are sticking to it. If a player comes available who fits into that plan, I have no doubt they will pursue that player(s).
But since none of us know those plans, let's wait and see.
As Yogi Berra said, "It ain't over 'till its over".
And the off- season fun has just begun.
Let them aim before they fire.

Im fine with moves Jets have made and not over paying for players that dont want to be a Jet. We have done that before and got screwed by those 70 mill players. I hope Jets draft QB Zach Wilson and Players we need at WR,RB,Center,O Line this year and all Defense next year with money for free agency next year. No more BS buying teams head ache . I dont want Watson let him stay or go to Miami who will have to give him more money in top 5 QB NEW range thanks to Dak Cowgirls.

I think Douglas has shown he's willing to pay, but he won't overpay. A lot of players in the past have looked to the Jets either as their retirement plan or as a place to drive up the price on the market.

Douglas targets certain guys, he sets a price, and he seems willing to walk away. All the guys he is targeting are younger, they're all signing contracts that nobody would consider massive or an albatross, and they all fit both scheme and organizational philosophy.

I don't see him deviating from that, even if it makes Jets fans and the tabloids mad.
