I wish I could say bringing in Petty was a good idea, but it just isn't. The Jets still have playoff hopes and as bad as Fitz has been, he still gives the Jets their best chance at winning...........

And I really don't believe this thread is correct about the Jets immediate future. Sure, there are some hard decisions ahead, but this team is still very good. I just don't believe that Todd Bowles is a good enough HC to get the most out of this group of players....

Exactly right, the system is setup so its easier to go from the out-house to the penthouse, then it is to go from a third floor apartment to the penthouse. The system is almost designed to help the poor get rich, and to make it more difficult for the working to middle class to breakout of their current situation, they need a lot more luck and have less margin for error.

I'm not in disagreement with either you or Sackexchange regarding draft positioning in regards to finishing 8-8. It's the worst place to be. Mediocrity with zero chance of landing a franchise QB. And I see it happening again this season, especially as the schedule softens up.

But try telling 53 athletes to pull a tank job to improve their draft position next year. Not gonna happen. If we're 3-12 heading into the last game of the season, I guarantee you those players will fight hard to win that game. It's in their DNA.
