I wonder how many other NFL fans are rooting for their starting QB to screw up, so they can see the backup who probably isn't ready?

"Gee, I hope Mahomes bombs in the preseason so we can see Fields for the entire season".

You’re being absolutely ridiculous! We’re talking about a player who has had his ups and downs in the league. Mainly downs! Geno is not the answer for us and we all know this. SO IF THE KID IS READY TO PLAY NOW OR WHENEVER HE IS READY, I WANT TO SEE HIM PLAY!

Why wouldn’t I want to see Klubnik play, being that WE ALL KNOW GENO ISN’T THE ANSWER. Plain and simple. We’re not talking about Patrick Mahomes. A first ballot HOFer. Were talking about Geno Smith. It’s not even a comparison. WOW!!!

Well come on now.
He's not hoping Geno will fail. He wants Klubnic to step up.
We all know Geno is a bridge QB(bridge to nowhere if you ask me).
Do you really expect them to play Geno if he sucks?
Can you really fault Jets82 because he wants Klubnic to succeed?
He just wants Klubnic's play to make it tough for them to start Geno.
That's a good thing BTW.
There is no right or wrong way to root for this team.
We all want the same thing in the end.

Thank you and perfectly said! I put it in the simplest way I possibly could that I want to see Klubnik play, only if he is ready to do so but I guess that explanation still wasn’t good enough. SMDH

If we get competent QB play, I don't care if it comes from Geno, Klubnik, or butterscotch. It seems only a short time ago that folk were saying that the Jets shouldn't have traded up for Klubnik, and then that the Jets should get a 'veteran' QB because otherwise Klubnik would start if Geno got injured. Since then Klubnik has been up and down in training camp and his body of work in preseason games is a stalled drive against the Buccs second string and a closeup view of Braelon Allen wrongfooting said second string for a long TD run. I am rooting for the guy as well, but his best chance of developing into something is sitting behind an experienced QB learning his trade,
