However, the 2021 college football season has seen Walker elevate his NFL Draft stock to new levels. Slimmed down by 15 pounds, he’s emerged as a dangerous threat from across the defensive front. The junior defensive tackle has started all 10 games, kicking off his campaign with a sack against Clemson. Since then, he’s tallied 28 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 5 tackles for loss, and 18 quarterback hurries. One of those sacks came in a standout game against Auburn, also accounting for 5 quarterback hurries. In addition to his disruption, Walker has provided leadership as a team captain in the games against Kentucky and Missouri. That added element of responsibility rounds Walker out quite nicely as a prospect, as head coach Kirby Smart reflected on bulldawgillustrated.com.
“He is a freak of nature when it comes to athletic ability for that size. I do not know how many years it will be before I coach a guy who is that big, that can run like that, and has really good stamina with great toughness and effort. I am really proud of what he is doing in terms of leadership for our team.”
Athletic, tough, high effort, and character. Those are the hallmarks of an exceptional football player. As we get closer to the 2022 NFL Draft, and as Georgia embarks on a national championship run, an exceptional player is exactly what Walker is becoming.

his versatility as an EDGE, DT is well documented but what people don't know he played OLB and has the potential to play Wide 9 which for Robert Saleh and Jeff Ulbrich he would be extremely valuable.

He played within the SEC and was surrounded by a legendary Georgia Defense and should've put up a lot more statistical production than he did.
you have to be kidding he played with talent and they all put up numbers. did he let some sacks go, yes but did his team mates get those sacks, yes. so pressures by one leads to production for the unit. how is the national championship tasting, one player that can dominate is good but when they work together it is much better. yes he was one of many but they all worked together and now will have not one, not two, not three but five potential first round picks in this draft. sorry your dude Jermaine Johnson couldn't crack the lineup and had to transfer out of the SEC to an ACC team to play lesser talent to get his name in the conversation. if we draft him so be it but lets be clear stop dogging the actual dog that is this year's champion in college.
