Troubles already between Gase and Mac?

Gase is right about having a GOOD Center for our Rookie! Last year the pocket collapsed in the middle many times. No way to help a Rookie progress when pocket collapses in front and might set Darnold back regressing. Center is more important than a RB who hasnt played in 2 years and a LB with little sacks and a 79 Mil CB with zero effort. Mac shouldnt have been kept to throw money away stupidly. Not much out there for a GOOD Center and expect Darnold to struggle again. Remember Pats game at end of season? We dont need that.

I'm not inclined to believe the tabloids, especially when they are talking about the Jets. They all hate the Jets. Did anyone ever get to see any of the Jets Picks when they were made during the draft ? Every time a Jets pick was made those jerks decided to BS through the pick. I never saw Mangold announce a pick and I don't believe I wasn't in the room watching the TV when the pick was made, These reporters live for antagonizing the Jets fans.

After the draft was all over they ran some video clips of some picks and I saw him there but nothing at the time of the pick. Maybe I dozed off for a minute during the excitement of watching all the players I would have liked to see the Jets wind up with get picked by other teams. After all, I am an old fart.

Nobody wants the Jets to fail more than a segment of the media and a segment of the “pity us” fan base. The media is running wild with stories of how Gase didn’t want LeVeon, Gase didn’t want Gregg Williams, etc. After a great off season, the haters are finally able to knock down the whole building. Which is what makes all of this so confusing. We had a great FA period. The Anthony Barr thing was all Barr, not Maccagnan (as much as idiots try to pin that on Macc). We landed the prize FA in Bell, got one of the best defenders/leaders in CJ Mosley, fleeced the Raiders for Osemele, and got an underrated slot receiver in a Crowder. Macc spent the money wisely, even though we should’ve gotten some depth at Center.

You let the guy run FA and the draft, have a big say in hiring the new coaching staff, and then fire him now? It makes no sense. Christopher Johnson’s next move is crucial. He better get this GM thing right, because the media vultures are circling this team with bad press and rumors about discord in house. Gase is going to have to patch up all this LeVeon Bell crap now. The last thing this team needs is trouble with LeVeon Bell becoming a pain in the ass.

I agree! I'm assuming he has already spoken to Bell and cleared it up, if he even needed to in the first place! If he hasn't, he better get on it quick so this thing doesn't start to fester and bubble.
