True playoff teams!

Well Jets faithful, if your still watching football right about now your looking at the true playoff teams:

1. Even though I believe the Steelers will loss in the first round to whomever they play against because of their horrid defense, they handled their business this week and got the W.

2. Chiefs win a hard fought game but win 10 in a row and prove they belong there.

3. Broncos appears they will win with 1:47 seconds left in the game.

4. Bengals won also I believe.

5. Yes the Pats loss but they're main weapons should be back in Edelman and Amendola and they will be potent as usual.

Just goes to show what true playoff teams are about. If you look at our roster as I do also, you think how are the Jets not a playoff team? I wonder the same thing especially with them winning 10 games and the NFL and team records they accomplished. Is it the play calling and non-preparing of the team for those 6 losses? Was it Fitz play when it truly matter in those 6 losses? Was it the defense collapsing the way they did in so many games? Was it that Fitz focused to much on Marshall and Decker and the other weapons didn't develop enough? Was it the drops of even and most importantly (Marshall and Decker) that killed us in those 6 losses? Was it the hampering injuries to Ivory and Powell that hindered us from getting to where we wanted to go? Was it the off-season moves (although most were great) that killed us like, not drafting Kevin White instead of Williams or not drafting a OLB instead of Williams or signing a younger and faster OLB in FA? We will never know the answers to these question and can debate them all day long. When it really comes down to it, this team had the playoffs right in their grasp and they let it slip away in pick any of the 6 losses you want. I personally thought two weeks ago that the Jets would have lost the Pats game and beat the Bills today but it happened the other way around. This team was good enough to be a playoff team but didn't want it bad enough I guess. Guess that pretty much some it up!!!

Well Jets faithful, if your still watching football right about now your looking at the true playoff teams:

eh they were built for success, we are still in transition...

1. unfortunately we didn't handle our business and NO I am not just speaking about today's loss -- we had many opportunities this season but considering with the new regime one can say we are a young team... And I mean young in the new game plans installed on Offense, Defense and Special Teams...

2. I agree, great coaching and execution by the game plan they put out there for their players to perform to the best of their abilities...
3. Broncos got their #1 seed with the win
4. Yes Bengals won also
5. Even tho Amendola and Edleman will be back in two weeks that offensive line is going to get Brady killed -- yes!!! sorry tired of seeing him winning...

True teams are build through the draft mainly not bought through free agency... Yes from time to time a key player could sign with a franchise and make them the over the top favorite, but developing said players in house is a better solution for any franchise... That is what I am hoping Maccagnan and Bowles will do for our team... After a successful turnaround season we have the building blocks in place...

I expect next season with a good off season we could improve on what we did this year and repeat to break all the records that were broken this year... We are 3 players away on defense, while we need to start to retool the offensive line and get younger... Need depth at all skill positions on the offense but probably won't happen all through the draft we will need to pick up 2 or 3 key free agents on short term contracts to fill that need...

At the end of the day we are on the right track...

Are the Redskins and Texans "true playoff teams" also??

Their divisions may be garbage but they won the games they needed to win and got in (including the last game of the season). The Jets didn't so no, I guess their not, obviously.

Several teams won the last game of the season after having terrible seasons. Does that make them playoff teams?

Miami came up big. Detroit. SF.

The season is a marathon, not a sprint. Fans tend to be way too reactionary about one week, positive or negative.

Come on now, lets be realistic here. I'm talking about teams that actually made the playoffs and the Jets aren't one of them. I love this team with a passion as much you do and every other true Jets fan but let's be real and face facts here, they dropped the ball and didn't want it bad enough. Doesn't mean the season was a total lost and they are the same 'ole Jets per say, it just means they have to lick their wounds and learn from them and get better next year. I believe 100% they will be a better team next year and ready to take the league by storm and trust me, I wouldn't feel this way if Rex Ryan was still our HC. Hell, we would probably have been a 5-11 team under sexy rexy.

No, the Jets didn't make the playoffs. They are exactly what their record says they are, 10-6.

Many seasons, that is good enough to get in. In some divisions, worse gets you in. But it didn't happen for the Jets.
