With players reporting to camp tomorrow (finally), go on record now. Who are your Training Camp surprises? One surprise to make the roster and one surprise cut.

There are a few options for surprise to make the roster. I am going with Chris Owusu, WR out of Stanford. Likely that our 6th WR will be a guy who can return kicks and Owusu has done that. He returned over 75 kicks at Stanford and did well in limited opportunities last year. Also had some favorable reports on him coming out of OTAs.

My surprise cut will be Calvin Pace. I don't think that both Pace and Babin will make the roster. Pace has the bigger cap savings and Babin is the better pass rusher. Pace will be a surprise cut.

I agree with the OPs too. I think if we want to go real dark horses:

Stays: WR Jonathan Rumph -really flashed in the OTAs from a tryout status

Goes: Cumberland. Not sure he has ever really regained form

Going out on a limb for Rumph. I like it. As a Georgia guy, I am hoping Rumph can at least stick on the PS.

If I'm gonna predict surprises, might as well go for some big surprises.

STICKS: DL Davon Walls

CUT: DL Leger Douzable

As long as we are into bold predictions. Davon Walls will spend the season on the practice squad while he transitions to OL. He will compete for a spot as an offensive lineman next season.

Douzable cut would be a shocker, especially with Sheldon out for the first month -- but that is what this thread is about.

Got to say you really did go "dark horse"

Milliner grabs the starting Job and Cro drops on the depth chart. IK also becomes a starter.

Pace and Babin cut
