3/6: The 49ers, Bears, Jets, Lions, Raiders and Redskins have interest in Andre Holmes. - Jeremy Fowler, ESPN

Holmes is 42nd in our NFL Free Agent Wide Receiver Rankings, so I'm not sure why. He'd provide depth at most. -Walter​

3/4: While many in the NFL believe that Mike Glennon will sign with the Bears, the Jets plan on making a big push for him. - Tony Pauline, Draft Analyst

Jet fans better hope that it's not that big of a push, as Glennon is this offseason's Brock Osweiler. Glennon is third in the underwhelming NFL Free Agent Quarterback Rankings. -Walter​

3/3: The Jets could cut Eric Decker soon. - Rich Cimini, ESPN

New York has already released a bunch of players, including Darrelle Revis, Brandon Marshall and Nick Mangold, but the team apparently isn't done because of its poor cap situation. 3/3: The Jets are expected to target Tony Jefferson. - Connor Hughes, NJ.com

Jefferson is one of the top safeties available - he's third in our NFL Free Agent Safety Rankings - and he would fill a huge need for a horrible secondary. -Walter​

2/28: The Giants, Jets, Vikings and Chargers have shown interest in Russell Okung. - Jason La Canfora, CBS

Hopefully Okung signs a better contract this time. Okung is injury-prone but still happens to be second in our NFL Free Agent Offensive Tackle Rankings. -Walter​

2/22: The Jets are expected to have interest in Jay Cutler when he's cut. - Jason La Canfora, CBS

There probably won't be a trade, with Cutler not being cleared medically (shoulder) until March. We've learned, however, that the Jets were briefed on how to handle attitude and mood swings. -Walter​

2/21: Nickel cornerback K'Waun Williams has contract offers from the Jets, Dolphins, Lions and 49ers. - Matt Maiocco, CSN Bay Area

Williams was a solid nickel corner for the Browns before suffering an ankle injury that caused him to miss all of 2016. Williams is 21st in our NFL Free Agent Cornerback Rankings. -Walter​

2/16: Darrelle Revis was injured in a street fight in Pittsburgh. -

No word if Blanka was involved. There are two sides of this story; one has Revis as the aggressor, while the other has Revis being attacked by five individuals. His lawyer has stated the latter. Either way, Revis is unlikely to return to the Jets next year. -Walter​

2/14: There's a 60-percent chance the Jets part ways with Nick Mangold and Brandon Marshall, and a 75-percent chance they release Darrelle Revis. - Darryl Slater, NJ.com

I'd vastly increase those percentages for Marshall and Revis. As you can see in the New York Jets Team Needs page, the Jets have a ton of needs and happen to be over the salary cap. -Walter​

2/13: The Jets will probably release Ryan Clady by Wednesday. - Rich Cimini, ESPN

Clady was a bust signing, as he couldn't stay healthy. Offensive tackle was already listed highly in the New York Jets NFL Team Needs page. -Walter​

2/9: The Jets won't pursue Jay Cutler. - Rich Cimini, ESPN

Jason La Canfora speculated that the Jets could go after Cutler because they hired his former quarterbacks coach, but this report says the Jets have no interest. Here are the top NFL Free Agent Quarterback Rankings. -Walter​

2/8: The Jets are a possibility to acquire Jay Cutler. - Jason La Canfora, CBS

The Jets just hired Cutler's former quarterbacks coach, so that's the connection. Cutler can start while the Jets continue to develop Christian Hackenberg. The Jets NFL Team Needs page is available here. -Walter​

2/8: Brandon Marshall told the media that the Jets have given him no indication that they want to release him. - Darryl Slater, NJ.com

Marshall is coming off a horrible year, and he's owed $7.5 million. The Jets are also over the salary cap. Marshall may not have been given any indication yet, but it's hard to imagine him being back in New York. -Walter​

2/4: The Jets have their eyes set on Mike Glennon. - Connor Hughes, NJ.com

Signing Glennon is a fine move, as long as they don't overpay. Adam Schefter predicted that Glennon would earn upwards of $15 million annually, which would be way too much. Glennon is No. 3 in our NFL Free Agent Quarterback Rankings. -Walter​

1/30: The Jets could be interested in Colin Kaepernick. - Darryl Slater, NJ.com

Kaepernick played for new offensive coordinator John Morton, so there's a connection. The problem is that Kaepernick is terrible. -Walter​

1/17: The Jets are expected to cut Brandon Marshall this offseason. - Rich Cimini, ESPN

Marshall appears to have lost a step, and he reportedly caused issues in the locker room. The Jets are better off moving on and rebuilding. -Walter​

1/16: The Jets will have interest in free agent quarterback Mike Glennon. - Rich Cimini, ESPN

If this is true, Jet fans should be prepared for more pedestrian quarterbacking. Glennon is ranked just one spot above Ryan Fitzpatrick in our NFL Free Agent Quarterback Rankings. -Walter
