Jets WR Corey Davis (groin) and DT Folorunso Fatukasi (foot) did not practice on Thursday and head coach Robert Saleh said that John Franklin-Myers (hip) would be limited in Friday's practice. Saleh, wearing a Rye (NY) Garnet Football t-shirt while speaking to reporters Friday, said that all three should be ready to play on Sunday against the Texans.

"[Davis] just got into the wrong spot stretching out for a ball and there was a little tweak," Saleh said. "All indications are that he's good, so we'll limit him today, get him to Sunday and he'll be ready to roll."

Saleh added: "Going through the season, a lot of these guys who have been around the league for a long time, this is about management in terms of trying to get Sundays while preparing the best you can and getting all the reps you need. Early bye week, it feels like forever, but we have seven more games including Sunday, so just making sure our guys are healthy for Sunday."

While QB Zach Wilson has been a full participant in practice all week, he's ramping up to make his first start since Week 7, Oct. 24, at New England when he sustained a PCL injury and Saleh has seen his rookie signal-caller try to re-acquaint himself back with the offense during practice. Since Wilson's injury, the team has averaged the most yards per game in the NFL and has started three different signal-callers.

He returns to the lineup with a red-hot rookie in WR Elijah Moore, who has 5 touchdowns in as many games (4 receiving, 1 rushing). The second-round pick won Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week Award for his performance against the Dolphins when he had a career-high 8 catches, 141 yards and a touchdown.

"[Wilson] is seeing a bunch of different receivers running at a different tempo than when he left, too," Saleh said. "Everyone has gotten a little bit better around him, so just him reacquainting himself with the offense with his teammates, but it's been a good week of preparation."

I think some of y’all are a little too hard on Corey Davis . Considering the upheaval at QB and his recent minor injuries the guy has done a decent job for the Jets .

Corey Davis never had the responsibility at this level of being Number 1 and now he is with us he still doesn't because Elijah Moore no matter his size is our true number 1 receiver who puts up the production... It took him a minute to acclimate but now he has taken off running shows that persistence pays off... Davis wasn't even paid as a number one just because he is that good Robin to our drafted Batman...

Quick question.
Who’s the #1 receiver for the Bears ?

Mooney, why?
Robinson is averaging 4 yards per catch less than Mooney
Mooney leads the team with 46 or 47 catches something like that... Also has the yardage... Why?

no comparison a number one produces, regardless of size but most Jets fans look at Corey Davis or Denzel Mims size as one of the factors for a receiver to be a number one...

I have stated since they drafted him, with his potential he could very well become the team's number one receiver which he has now the media is even saying so...

The reason I asked the question was for this follow up question.
Is it remotely possible that the reason these guys are now the focal point of their offenses is due to the fact that defenses are stacking coverage towards the other guys ?
I’m a big supporter of Moore but before I anoint him anything I first have to see how he responds when he starts facing stack coverage .

Shocking……. Well its looks like a steady diet of Cole, Moore and Crowder, with a sprinkle of Berrios . At least Zach has a little chemistry with Cole, Berrios and Crowder. I hope we don’t forget about Moore…..
I expect a heavy does of TE work with Griffen and Ty Johnson/ Colman screens

not necessarily the schemes determine who is the number one or role player and in this case for us our offense is slot based... so both Elijah Moore, and Jamison Crowder should thrive in it and they do... Also Braxton Berrios when he gets snaps he produces...

Jeff Smith when he gets a snap makes yardage in the run game...

Corey was always one on one or going against zone coverage so he took advantage of those situations now they focused on doubling him either corner underneath and safety above or corner outside and linebacker inside which forced him to do more than he is used too...

Corey is a good possession number two receiver when the pressure is off him...
Elijah at Ole Miss was prime target and is used to finding and weaving through traffic searching for open space to give his QB a better target to throw too...
