Damn this kid looks good but don’t they all in college, Lol! So frustrating! Jets please get this right this time, whomever you draft in whatever round!

It's very easy to be fooled? That's why selecting a QB is always such a crap shoot. IMO, the one thing that can never be quantified and the reason why it is so hard to select the right QB, is knowing the kids learning capacity? The difference the pro and college game is miles wide. You could take the very best college players ever and they may not amount to anything in the pros. That's even more evident with QB's.

What it all boils down to with any young guy is how quickly they can understand what the defense is doing to him and understand how to find those 3rd and 4th progressions. Someone is always open. If you have any kind of decent offensive players then someone will always be open. Albeit a small window but they will be open. Knowing how to thread a needle because sometimes you may have to? I look back at Peyton Manning and how excellent he was at threading the needle. Watching him play QB was like watching an artist.

Yeah it ain’t easy but some teams have mastered it. Colts go from Manning to Luck and now trade for this kid Brissett who has even played pretty decent for them. Cowboys finds Romo who wasn’t drafted (if I’m correct) and just so happens to luck up with Dak (who they appeared to not even really want in the first place). Packers go from Favre to Rodgers and Patriots go from Bledsoe to Brady. Some teams can do it with ease and others like the Jets and Browns just can’t do it period. Hopefully our luck changes one of these days.
