IF.....IF it is indeed the Achilles.........the odds are the Jets will need a new pass rusher next year. It's just very tough to recover and even tougher to recapture pre-injury performance level. Suggs has done it, but don't put all your hope on a unicorn.

What contract implications would the Jets have if having to ponder cutting him next year?

Unable to put any weight on it isn't a good sign. He has guarantee money on the table so cutting him is out of the question next year. Would have been nice to see him and Williams line up together.
