A small group of Jets fans thought it would be a good idea to protest in hopes of getting Adam Gase fired on Thursday.

A few fans traveled to One Jets Drive to voice their displeasure with Gase and the team following New York’s 0-2 start to the 2020 season. In 18 games as Jets’ head coach, Gase has a 7-11 record and has drawn the ire of the fanbase for orchestrating one of the worst offenses in football.

The protest, however, was far from powerful and those in attendance were soon removed from the property.

Yes, Gase has been abysmal in his tenure as New York’s head coach, but the few fans that gathered in Florham Park missed the mark with their message. When the Jets encouraged fans to make their voice heard on Twitter, this is not what they were walking about. New York’s social media team was stressing the importance of voting in the upcoming presidential election, not protesting a head coach’s job status amid a pandemic and months of civil unrest fueled by racial and social injustice.

There are more important things going on right now than the job Gase, or any other NFL coach, is doing. This small group of Jets fans, however, wanted their team to know what they think of Gase.

Chances are Christopher Johnson wasn’t moved by their lackluster demonstration, but at least a few passing cars honked in support.

I didn't think they would go, thought they were blowing smoke but they proved me wrong, bunch of idiot fans... there are other ways of getting the team's attention then wasting time going there...
